📚A of JAF recently finished reading: Ghosts of Heaven by Marcus Sedgwick • Rating: 🐲🐲🐲🐲/5 • ⁉️ #qotd: You ever finish reading a book and just not know how to express your feelings about it? • Well, that’s me with Ghosts of Heaven by Marcus Sedgwick. It was my third book of the year and a book I’ve had on my shelf for over three years now. My inability to express my feelings isn’t a reflection of a bad book, quite the opposite. • Ghosts of Heaven is a very unique, slightly strange, and highly thought-provoking book told in 4 “quarters” set in four different time periods (pre-historic to distant future) with only humans and the idea/concept/theme of spirals connecting them. • Sedgwick himself says in the introduction that the quarters can be read in any order, creating different meanings or interpretations for the reader, which in turn adds another level of weirdness and uniqueness to the reading experience. • It’s not a book I’d recommend to everyone, but it is a book I’d recommend. I don’t make sense do I? It’s okay, I’m seeing spirals everywhere. Don’t believe me? Hey everyone! Hope you’re all having a good Saturday. It’s quite cold here right now so I’m currently home with hot chocolate and a book. I’m more than halfway done with Foolish Hearts which was the @owlcrate December book and I’m really enjoying it. It’s a cute contemporary that’s as much about friendship as it is about romance, which I appreciate. 💕 I felt like it was time for a TRC post because it’s been too long! Hey everyone! Happy Thursday! Is it snowing where you are? Here in my part of Massachusetts we were supposed to get a big snowstorm but currently it’s just raining. Regardless, I’m currently reading on the couch since I don’t have to work today. I’m about halfway through Meet Cute and I’m really enjoying it. As someone who loves rom-coms and meet cutes, this anthology is perfect. And I love that the authors and characters include a range of identities. ❤️ Also I got these Hogwarts leggings for Christmas and I LOVE them, especially when combined with some other fav HP clothes of mine 😍 QOTD: What book are you most anticipating in 2018?
