TBR 2020
While my TBR keeps growing and growing, I keep trying to make a dent in it. I joined #Beatthebacklist to priorities books that have been on my TBR (sometimes for years) instead of reading newer books.
To motivate myself for these challenges I have made a top 20 of Backlistbooks I want to at least get to this year. Please help me get excited for them by telling me which ones you have read and liked. 😊 In no particular order:
The eye of the world by Robert Jordan (has been on my physical shelf for almost 10 years 🙄 time of finally read it this year right?)
The assassins blade by Sarah J. Maas (read the series, but still need to read the prequel)
Renegades by Marissa Meyer
The bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden
Scythe by Neal Shusterman
Lost boy by Christina Henry
Red queen by Christina Henry
The Gospel of Loki by Joanne Harris
Back powder war (#Temeraire 3) by Noami Novik
Watership down by Richard Adams
The rise of Kyoshi by FC Yee
Shadow of the Fox by Julie Kagawa
Glaceling by Kristin Cashore
Shadowscale (#Seraphina 2) by Rachel Hartman
Crazy rick Asians by Kevin Kwan
The shadowglass (#The bone witch #3) by Rin Chupeco
The girl in red by Christina Henry
Little Book of Bees: The Fascinating World of Bees, Hives, Honey, and More by Hilary Kearney
The nightcircus by Erin Morgenstern
The sword of Shannara by Terry Brooks
🍁Happy September!🍂 . Hello, bookish peeps! Happy September! In order to start off this brand-new month promisingly, here’s #mylongesttbr featuring books that I’ve owned for quite some time but haven’t got to read them. My Longest TBR is a tag created by the lovely Kayleigh @bookwormescapes and I truly hope I’ll finish reading these babies by the end of this month.💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼 . In addition, there are a few September photo challenges I’m interested in participating, including #goldengirlsseptemberbooks and #buriedinbooksseptember so here’s to both of their prompts: September TBR! 🥂 . Anyways, I hope y’all have a fabulous month and let the Autumn party begin! 🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂 . What do you plan to read in September? Have you read any of my TBR in the picture? Let me know! . #bookish #bookstagrammers #bookstagrams #autumnreads #fallreads🍂 #septembertbr #happyseptember #autumnseason #handmadebookmarks #bundlebooks #beatthebacklist #tbrforlife #readersforlife #bookbloggers #bookreviewers #bookmarks #currentlyreading #badromance #luciddreaming #thisisourstory #heatherdemetrios #heatherblair #ashleyelston #ireadya #yalit #mustreads https://www.instagram.com/p/B13oEkdgF_t/?igshid=jehtghb530a9
What's your favorite breakfast food? 🍩 I'm not a huge breakfast person, but I've never met a donut I didn't like. My favorite is a classic raised, glazed. Yummmm. 😋 . . "She believed she could, so she did" quote print is from @dreamyandco & I am liiiiiving for this mantra right now. Don't forget NOVEL10 saves you on any order from their shop. NOVEL10 also saves you @peonyandmoss, the folks behind my uber comfy and cozy thigh high socks. . . #FearYourNovelSours - Second Breakfast (Hobbit Day) #SeptBookstagram19 - #beatthebacklist #AllTheBooksSept19 - Fav Reads of Summer . . #SockSunday #socksandbooks #peonyandmoss #dreamyandco #openbooks #CozySunday #cozyreads #cozyvibes #booksandsocks #readinglife #myreadinglife #mybookishlife #readingspot #readinbed https://www.instagram.com/p/B2u1tMKg1tU/?igshid=1olfvc8kd7b97
I’ve decided that I’m going to be partaking in #BeatTheBacklist2019 but I’m not really setting a TBR, apart from saying that I have to read from my bookcase, and I have 236 books to choose from. #BeatTheBacklist #bookworm #booklover #bookaddict #bookstagramnewbie #bookstagram #ukbookstagram https://www.instagram.com/p/Br-tE3QnwUW/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=3x57pj179w8i
Hey y’all! I’m doing the beat the backlist challenge this year, and I’ve decided to post my tbr for the challenge as pics of my shelves.
Pic one is the mini-shelf that I’m bringing up to college for the semester, pic two is my home tbr shelf, which I’m hoping to get way down during the summer when I’m here (Specific number goal in my goodreads challenge post because I’m too lazy to retype it)
Also on the list but not pictured due to technical difficulties: my tbr tag in the libby & hoopla apps, which I filled as soon as I realized tagging books was a thing
Anyone else doing the beat the backlist challenge?
Beat the Backlist August & September Wrap Up
I only read 1 book that counted for this challenge in August, so I’m combining that wrap up with the September one. September was a much better month; of the 8 books I read, 5 counted for this challenge. Excalibur and the whole To All the Boys I Loved Before trilogy are my favorites of all these.
Excalibur by Bernard Cornwell - 5/5
Jane Eyre’s Sisters: How Women Live and Write the Heroine’s Story by Jody Gentian Bower - 4/5
To All the Boys I Loved Before by Jenny Han - 5/5
P.S. I Still Love You by Jenny Han - 5/5
Always and Forever, Lara Jean by Jenny Han - 5/5
The Drawing of the Three by Stephen King - 4/5

https://gotgoalsbloghop.blogspot.com #GotGoalsBlogHop Thoughts from my WEPFF entry: – Intriguing that so many commenters thought Osiris to be a woman. It was based on a true story, but I changed names. I really thought I picked a manly name.
“In Egyptian mythology, Osiris is the god of life, death, the flooding of the Nile and the afterlife. He was the brother and husband of Isis.”
Alas, I…
