I think we need to add That Means A Lot to the list of Paul songs (this one’s a Lennon-McCartney song on paper but still) that reference touch, secret codes, secrecy in love, having to hide your love away, etc… I’m specifically fascinated though by how it speaks to the importance of touch in a very similar way to Press:
“I really am relying on your touch” / “When you want me to love you, just tell me to press” - Press (1989)
“A touch can mean so much, when it’s all you’ve got” - That Means A Lot (1965)
