she pretends she’s not into cheesy romantic stuff, but a gentle kiss on the forehead or the cheek will have her blushing like a a girl with a crush ;)

12. Grudges and vendettas

she’s really good at holding a grudge when she wants to. flash said something sexist about boys being tougher than girls wayyyy back in fourth grade and since then she’s made it her mission to dominate him in dodgeball at every opportunity. she’s a little more forgiving with people she likes, but she’ll keep little slights against her at the back of her mind for the perfect moment of revenge. ((she once asked peter to pick her up a sandwich with no pickles but he messed up and got pickles and then when he realized his mistake he just at both their sandwiches and called that a solution. now she always conveniently forgets to ask for pickles on his sandwiches.))

13. What gets them flustered

michelle’s so used to deflecting feelings with sarcasm and snark that open, honest affection throws her off her game. peter and ned are both total saps who love their friends and will SAY that they love their friends, so sometimes one of them will forget to tease her to show their love and instead say outright how much they enjoyed spending time with her and she just. doesn’t know what to do with that. so she stutters out some half-baked insult and shoves them but there’s a smile creeping onto her face and a bloom of warmth in her chest and she loves it so much.

18. Things they’ll never admit

she’s scared for the future. she’s terrified for the future.

she had a crush on flash in elementary school and she’s embarrassed just thinking about it

even though she sees tony stark as the epitome of capitalistic entitlement, she thinks that iron man is really cool

the aloof, disinterested personality she presents is mostly to mask the fact that she cares so deeply about so many things that she doesn’t know what to do about it. ((her protesting and other social justice endeavors are a great outlet for her passion))

20. What-ifs/Alternate timelines

What if... michelle was peter’s “girl in the chair”?: she’d tell him he’s an idiot with even greater frequency than usual, which is saying something. she’d have managed to come up with a better excuse than “watching porn” when the teacher burst into the computer lab during homecoming and so probably would have managed to stay in touch with peter after the building collapse ((she would have heard the collapse over the phone, but peter wouldn’t have had the phone on him until after he managed to climb out of the rubble, so that would have possibly been the worst four minutes of her life)). she also would have focused more on peter’s crime-fighting methods than his spider abilities and helped him come up with more efficient patrol routes. she also doesn’t trust tony stark as completely as ned and peter and would have encouraged peter to be suspicious of him, especially after the ferry incident.

What if... michelle had become spider-woman?: she would not have gone to germany with tony stark. she also might have taken greater precautions with her identity so tony might not have found her at all. she’d have stayed as a protector of queens with her own minimal equipment. the stress and responsibility of vigilantism might have caused her to drop out of the decathalon, but people don’t know her as well as they knew peter, so she’d stay out. it probably wouldn’t be until much later that she, ned, and peter all became friends and even longer after that when she tells them her identity. ned and peter both act as her guys in the chair and they become quite an efficient crime-fighting team, with michelle doing all the heavy lifting, of course. eventually spider-woman makes enough of a name for herself that she catches the attention of the avengers and all three teenagers are summoned to stark tower. unlike the arrest they were expecting, they recieve tech upgrades and michelle is offered a training opportunity and it’s all really, really cool.
