A field trip to NYC was incredible. Who would have thought Riverdale High would get it’s stuff together in order to organise something this exciting?! And better yet, she as given the task of embodying the student experience for the school paper. A 4 day excursion meant there was more than enough material to write - including the implications of gangs on the youth culture in the inner-city ranks. It was all about cultural enrichment - this trip. So what better than to focus on the growing issue that plagued this city, and their small town?
Crime and gang links.
The group of Riverdale students were milling around one of the small districts - taking in some of the many cultures gathered along the streets of Lower Manhattan. She wasn’t quite sure where they were, but that wasn’t key to her article. She’d just finished taking in the Ukrainian deli when she detoured down a small alleyway - hearing what sounded like some scuffling and the sound of someone being pushed into a trashcan.
“Mantle...?” She called down the alley, wondering if it were just some of her cohort fooling around. “C’mon guys, don’t get us in trouble--” she added as she took a few more steps in, tentatively approaching the source of the noise. It wasn’t until she had rounded a large stack of pallets that she realised she should have stayed with the group. Great job, Cooper.
@spiderhop liked for HALLOWEEN
Of course Halloween made this city a shit show. Eddie couldn’t remember a time when he actually liked Halloween, but that was only because he couldn’t remember his childhood. He just wanted to make it through this shitty traffic without any teens ending up causing a jam, or worse, causing damage to the car.
