Tea or Coffee?  How do they take theirs?

Both, depending on the occasion or time of day. Tea he drinks black, with maybe a little bit of honey, again depending on what kind of tea it is. Coffee is the same way. No sugar, no cream. Just straight up. 

Have they ever gotten seriously ill?

He’s picked up a few questionable quarentine-able issues over the years but since leaving the field, he’s avoided everything but the occasional cold and flu. The longest stretch of bad health was after loosing his eye. There was some fear of infection given the circumstances but he managed to avoid any serious complications.

Parents

Nick’s mother, Nia worked with the CIA for most of his childhood. She rarely missed anything important for him or his sister. He got the feeling she was compensating for the fact that he didn’t really get to know his father. He did eventually meet the man he was named for once he’d joined the Army Rangers but they didn’t develop much of a relationship before the man’s death.
