I may be alone in this but I just want Logan to be in a happy relationship with many people.

Wade, Kurt, Kevin, Scott, Jean, Ororo, and Victor (and maybe a spidey) just all sharing Logan healthily and lovingly and no one gets hurt, maybe they group up on occasion, maybe Logan's not always there, but they all agree, gotta protect this self destructive wild man from himself and let him know he is LOVED!

It was business as usual. Or, it should have been, anyway. It had been a long time. A long time since he had picked up a pen, a long time since he had found a muse, a long time since his CCRTV had flickered to life. It currently broadcast a crying girl. She... wasn’t anything special. To be honest, The Author was planning on letting her die soon. That didn’t matter. This was just practice. Time to get back into the swing of things. He wrote his narration, letting his voice enter her head. “Now, cooperate or I’m bringing back the spiderwolves.”

Spider wolves are very similar to ordinary grey wolves. They get their names from the distinctive patterning on their coats, solitary lifestyle, and fondness for setting traps.

Spider wolves are the size of Great Danes. They go 35 miles per hour. Their venom turns the victims nervous system into Swiss cheese and kills them.

Reccer's notes: My favorite thing about this fic, I think, is its sense of community. That's one of the pillars of Welcome to Night Vale, and this fic brings that out beautifully. Dana and Vithya, Tamika, Pamela Winchell, Steve Carlsberg even, and the Ice Cream Wives in particular, I just, I love that the background and often overlooked characters are brought forward in this fic.

Lucy and Hannah Gutierrez's story. From Lucy arriving in Night Vale, through to their working to buy the White Sand Ice Cream Shop together, through to serving their little desert town, through to Strex's takeover and the end. Food is important: shared food, small everyday interactions, creating a space for townsfolk to gather, looking after each other. Migration, and settling in, and taking on an identity in one's chosen place, that's important too. Ice cream is important. Community is important.

Reccer's notes: I went looking for fic about the Ice Cream Wives and was absolutely delighted to find this: small, but covering a lot of ground and packing a lot of punch.
