oh my god,, harrison feeding u cake at ur wedding?? like, the look that man would give you, just so much pride in his eyes?? the “holy shit, that’s my wife” look— IM MELTING
you giggle against harrison’s lips as he cups your cheeks to kiss you, not waiting to hear the words, “you may now kiss the bride”. if anyone was more excited for your wedding, it was harrison. he had been fantasizing about it since your one-year anniversary. and now, four years later, he finally got the chance to marry you.
“i love you”, harrison says after he kisses you, sealing the deal as husband and wife. tears brim your eyes and he laughs as he kisses your head. you were always so sensitive and he was always such a sap.
your husband intertwines your fingers and lifts your laced hands up, making both of your families clap and cheer happily.
“you’re an osterfield now, babe”, he says as you walk into the large hut for the reception. you smile and blush, the feeling of being married to your love finally settling in.
harrison’s hand doesn’t leave yours as he guides you to your seats at the center of a large table in the back. a gorgeous three-layer cake was waiting for you, knife already placed beside it.
harrison takes one side of the handle while you take the other, sharing a kiss before cutting into the delicious dessert. it was a sweet moment, the icing on top of the cake.
and while you and your husband found yourselves feeding each other your wedding cake, the guests enjoyed some too. a few friends and family members came to congratulate you both, but other than that you were peacefully left alone. which give harrison the perfect chance to make your heart swoon for the second time that night. “i love you, mrs. osterfield”.
“i love you more, mr. osterfield”, you whisper. you share a sweet kiss and intertwine hands, playing with each other’s rings. glasses were being filled with white wine and your guests were taking their seats, quietly chatting with each other until the talking of a glass made them fall silent.
“hello”, tom says with a blush on his cheeks. “as harrison’s best man, i have prepared a speech”. tom fumbles for the crisply folded paper in his jacket pocket and clears his throat as he begins to speak.
he started out with a few teasing jokes about how harrison was head-over-heels for you just after the first few dates and how he knew you would be spending the rest of your lives together. tom even told the story of when he came home to find harrison laying drunkenly on the couch and asking for you. the story was sweet, but also humiliating, causing a cute giggle to escape from your lips. and harrison’s ear picks up on the angelic sound, making his head turn in your direction.
you were busy listening to tom’s very entertaining speech while harrison wasn’t paying attention to tom at all. instead, he was admired your gorgeous face while his thumb stroked over your hand over yours, occasionally running along the underside of your wedding ring. there was a small smile on his lips he gazed up at your vibrant face. you really did look beautiful tonight.
harrison missed the few jabs tom took at him, too busy thinking of you. he even missed when tom was making fun of him for him being so whipped, proving his point when he glanced up from his paper to look at harrison. everyone followed suit to look at the newly-married man who was oblivious to what was going on.
even you were stunned, placing your hand on his knee and rubbing it. “harrison, darling”, you whisper. you couldn’t help but smile at how handsome he looked and how he couldn’t seem to look away.
his eyes were on you, just you.
