“  .  .  .  is  that  ‘cause  of  the  head  injury  from  the  news  last  night,  or  .  .  . ”    lexi  winces  in  sympathy,  though  his  suit  betrays  none  of  the  injuries  that  she’d  seen  him  accrue  on  television,  which  might  lay  beneath  it.   then  again,  there’s  no  need;  her  imagination  is  only  too  capable  of  conjuring  up  worse.    “ sorry,  it’s  just––  you  know  them,  right?  the  avengers?  every  little  bit  helps.  i  mean,  i  liked  how  critical  you  were  of  iron  man  last  time.  when  i  took  those  notes  back  to  the  musical,  everyone  went,  like,  wild. ”
