In The Thestral Chase Scene...
After pushing Spielman out of the carriage, Grindelwald clenches his fist-- and Spielman closes his hand around his wand at the same time. Could it be that Grindelwald is controlling Spielman’s movements? The scene makes it look like he’s trying to kill the guy, but, actually, it’s more like he saves him mid-fall. (See 6:24). If so, the implications are:
A) even more evidence that Grindelwald isn’t a merciless villain who kills indiscriminately, and
B) he’s really damn good at this non-verbal magic/controlling people business, and does it pretty subtly, too.
I wonder if there are any other examples throughout the films...
