『Drabble』　egg & i

Rating: PG-13 Series: Cowboy Bebop Characters: Spike Spiegal, OC Length: ~250 Summary: A dialogue of my OC (if you will) of the first thoughts about Spike as he lights his cigarette on an unknown evening. 

The way he lit his cigarette with no sense of urgency, almost too lazy to even fully commit to the action, was so very eye catching to me. His whole presence seemed to just capture me like a moth attracted to a light in the dark. He was everything I was not at the moment.

He was free with nothing holding him down to any one place. His eyes held this unapologetic honesty to them as they caught the light. They has this depth to them though. Something was slightly off about his peepers. They shone against the dim light of the evening sun, but one of them was more off than the other. (I couldn’t put my finger on it at the time.) He projected the air of whimsical with an underlying of something darker and much more...secret, if you will. Secret isn't the word I want to use, but nothing else really does justice at the moment. There was just this something about about him that I had to micro-analyze until I figured it out.

A moment or so went by and I guess my eyes were roaming and prodding took much for his liking because he turned his head towards me, looking directly at me. face to face now, I can finally understand what was in the depths of those eyes. They were so much deeper than I anticipated.

I quickly looked down towards the ground giving a small abashed smile as I nodded my acknowledgement to him. 

He’s gonna carry that weight.
