What?! There's only one person working in HR? Wow... Not all heroes wear capes.
“Ah, Cadet Strife! “Thanks, but I wouldn’t call myself a hero.”

“Ah, Cadet Strife! “Thanks, but I wouldn’t call myself a hero.”
-rests head on Seph's chest, sighing softly and pulling a blanket up because the room is pretty cold-
There was a soft, questioning hum, eyes open almost immediately with the shifting. It was surprising how quickly he’d managed to get used to the closeness, to having someone else around whether it was in his normally solitary space or elsewhere.
Not that verbal questions needed to be asked, really; he shifted easily enough, one arm slid beneath Cloud and the other so very carefully wrapped around him. Warmth was a simple thing to offer.
On the verge of sleep again (telling, really, how easy that came as well), Sephiroth moved to place a light kiss on the blond’s forehead. Maybe he’d actually managed to get more hair than skin, but it remained a kiss regardless.
@spikyhairedcadet Look at this cinnamon roll
-drapes a blanket over Seph's shoulders- >:T
His first reaction is to look down at himself and the blanket covering him. That is... a rather unusual thing.
The second reaction is to give Cloud a slightly puzzled look. It’s not cold either inside or outside, as far as he’s concerned, though... Clearing his throat, despite his own curiosity, he offers a quiet, “Thank you.” Rather than asking, he supposes the cadet must have good reason. Which he will hopefully... explain. At some point.
He runs his fingers through Seph's bangs and leans over the general to place a gentle kiss on his forehead.
There’s a little surprise that comes with the action awake almost immediately at the touch (only wondering later about whether Cloud’s presence actually make him feel safe enough to not be on guard as soon as he feels it); though he supposes there will always be a little surprise in the soft, certain touches. In easy affection. He’s so very tempted to ask what that was for, the reasons, out of curiosity…
And while he still wants to ask, Sephiroth is really more content to shift and lightly draw the blond in closer, to lay together. It’s not something that he can articulate at the moment, or may ever really be able to, but just laying with Cloud, the very thought of actually just sleeping with him…
It’s warm and it’s comfortable and it’s a kind of enjoyed intimacy that would feel too silly to try and give words to. The little nuzzle and kiss against Cloud’s temple are almost unconscious afterthoughts, sleep already being welcomed back.
((Swol Van is swol. My bud drew this for me at work. ))
@spikyhairedcadet.
Bro. Why do you wear a leg skirt?
"Fashion."
Let me just...I think I'm gonna just sleep here. Yes, just gonna take a little nap...here. (-shrug- :I )
“I’m not sure that’s the best…”
He trailed off as soon as he actually looked up from his paperwork. One glance at the clock told him how late it actually was, and he’d known Cloud had visited out of his own desire to do so. Still, the SOLDIER felt a bit of guilt coil in his stomach.
To see the cadet making himself enormously comfortable on the couch (furniture which had not been his idea as he did not like the vast majority of people lounging in his space, but the order had already been placed and it was difficult to find room for elsewhere) drew a quiet, fond sigh from him. Leaving his paperwork for a moment, Sephiroth walked silently to the blond’s side, ever so carefully rearranging the otherwise utterly useless pillows so that Cloud wouldn’t wake in an uncomfortable position. In theory.
“A bit longer.” He promised, voice quiet. “Then the entire weekend can see this office left behind.”
