yoooooo i thought it had all the things you liked and there's pretty cool murder mystery plot as well, i've read only the first book so far but hope the rest will deliver
You were absolutely correct about my preferences, haha.
I am not usually a fan of investigating murder plots, but it had some personal touch and it has some emotional aspect for the protag without it looking forced or too convenient. Really neat.
It’s... well, I can’t truly say if it’s good or not, I am just at the beginning. But it hits all the right spots: female protagonist with some ruthless qualities to her and some very moral spots. She sometimes shocks me with how cold she is and sometimes with how almost naive she sounds when accusing other people of being immoral. She’s the kind of hard knuckle boss that will dress you down, but most likely behind closed doors and only as much as is needed.
As a sci-fi novel it has everything I love: AI, genetic constructs, humans, humans who can’t be citizen because of genetic make-up, tons of fancy sci-fi tech.
Tons of female characters, protag is bi, some other characters are bi as well. Really pleasant surprise.
