DON'T THROW AWAY YOUR OLD BREAD | HOW to MAKE BREAD and SPINACH DUMPLINGS | MOUNTAIN SUSTAINABLE COOKING
Spinach Dumplings
I started my day with a glas of juice and a banana as usual, then I ate the leftovers from the event my roommate had last night (she took some food from the buffet for me) I ate meatballs, spinach dumplings and apple cake and after that an apple. I continued with a small bag of bread with cream cheese and pumpkin bread that I forgot about from last week. Then I started to make my pizza dough, very traditional with my bare hands, a little bit of chocolate and then finally my pizza and a pizza roll with cheese in it. I had a great day. Fuck
And I tweeted some weird shit. Maybe my day wasn’t that great. I watched a documentary about cats.
Gnocchi Verde/Spinach Ricotta Dumplings for book club last night. In addition to actually discussing the book ("Station Eleven" so no one is surprised that I'm still talking about it four months later), it was such a good spread. You know these things are as much about the snacks as anything else. The snacks and the wine. Some cliches aren't worth messing with. Good on you for leading the charge, Lauren.Â
As for the gnocchi, these aren't nearly as heavy as the potato variety. Almost entirely spinach and frozen spinach at that. Also, only 6TB of flour in a recipe that makes about 20 good-sized dumplings. I also used skim ricotta and it did really well. I did not skimp on anything else.Â
I think that spinach dumplings are my 4th fav food
Their greatest downfall being that they contain garlic (which potentially takes them off the list completely).
Outside of this: could eat 20 a day (which would cost me only $4 a day)
