These rolled spinach pastry dumplings are a delightful fusion of Italian and Asian flavors. The creamy spinach and cheese filling is encased in a crispy wonton wrapper, making them a perfect appetizer or snack for any occasion.
Ingredients: 1 package of frozen spinach, thawed and drained. 1 cup ricotta cheese. 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese. 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. 1 package of wonton wrappers. Water for sealing dumplings. Vegetable oil for frying.
Instructions: Put the spinach that has been thawed and drained, ricotta cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, shredded mozzarella cheese, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper in a large bowl. Mix everything together well. Put out a wonton wrapper and put a spoonful of the spinach and cheese mix in the middle of it. Wet your finger and run it along the edges of the wonton wrapper. Along the edges, press the wrapper to seal the dumpling. Fold the wrapper over the filling to make a triangle shape. For extra style, you can also crimp the edges with a fork. Do this again with the rest of the wonton wrappers and filling mixture. In a deep frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Carefully put the spinach pastry dumplings into the hot oil. Fry them for about two to three minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and crispy. Take the dumplings out of the oil and let them drain on paper towels to get rid of the extra oil. You can serve the hot rolled spinach pastry dumplings with your favorite dipping sauce or any other way you like. Have fun with your tasty, crispy rolled spinach pastry dumplings!
