You hated having to work on the day you were supposed to be off. Your boss called you into work, one of the many coworkers became 'sick' all of the sudden and couldn't come. It's honestly complete bullshit, because this has been the sixth time your coworker pulled a 'I'm too sick to work' act.
How they are even getting paid amazes you.
Luckily enough, the day went by in a flash, and you could go home to your loving girlfriend. The walk home was silent and tiring, your back sore from all the standing you've done.
You stalk up to the entrance if your home, and reach out to grab the handle, turning it. And as you were about to push it the was of the way, the door was pulled from your hands by a certain gem.
Spinel.
Her face lit up upon seeing your hunched, tired form. "Hiya Suga!! You're finally back!"
You give a sigh of relief and smile back "Hi hun, did I take too long?" There was no verbal response as she practically leapt at your body, curling her arms around you snugly. "Mhmmm"
You chuckle lightly as you hug her back, a sigh of contentment leaving your mouth as your body just melted into hers. "Today was so tiring Spins, everybody was just so- so rude."
She rubs your back soothingly, taking in a breath to reply. "I'm sorry that today had to suck for you doll"
She pulls back to stare at you with a warm smile. "C'mon, let's go inside and I'll help ya forget about them people"
You smile and hug her again "That sounds like a plan."
She places a small kiss on your forehead and picks you up, closing the door behind as she carries you to the couch bridal style.
Setting you on the couch, she goes and walks into the hallway for a moment. You move your body to relax more, watching as Spinel returned with a couple of blankets and pillows.
"Sit up for a moment please?" You do so, and she takes one of the pillows and places it behind your back. "There ya go, lay back down hun" You lay back down and hold out your hands, a pout on your face.
Spinel chuckles, "Don't worry, I'm coming now" As she finishes her sentence, she lays right next to you, her arms finding their way around your body once more. You melt, head lazily going up and laying in the crook of her neck.
Yeah, you definitely needed this.
