Tuberculosis of the spine is one of the most common spine pathologies in India. Even if it is late diagnosed with paralysis, it is almost 100% curable with complete recovery. Spinal TB needs TB medications for 18 months atleast. Spinal surgery for rapid recovery. Further developments in diagnosis using molecular genetic techniques, more effective antibiotics, and more aggressive surgical protocols have become essential with the emergence of multidrug-resistant TB.
