Hot Wheels Battle Force 5: completing a roster of 10
A while back on reddit, a fellow fan helped me by drawing out my OCs along with their vehicles and emblems. I'll be doing names, where they're from, vehicles, and their role on the team. First I'll list the Canon 7 characters.
Vert Wheeler from America (been all over), he/him
Vehicle: Saber, which is extremely flat with sharp edges and multiple saws and blades hidden under the hood.
Role: Leader, which I interpret not just as team leader but also as being the fastest, leading them into battle
Agura Ibaden from Ghana, she/her
Vehicle: Tangler, which has a grappling hook, incredible suspension, and wheels that can open to act as claws/pincers.
Role: Hunter
Sherman (big guy) and Spinner (little guy) Cortez from Mexico, he/him and he/him
Vehicle: Buster, with six wheels, thick armor plating, spinning chains beneath Spinner's upper cockpit, and a ramp.
Role: Tank
Standard Isaac Rhodes IV from England, he/him
Vehicle: Reverb, with soundblasters that flip out of the hood and subwoofers that pop out of the sides from underneath.
Role: Ranger (like the sniper/ranged expert of the group)
Suzume 'Zoom' Takazumi from Japan, they/them (yeah that's right I'm making Zoom nonbinary)
Vehicle: Chopper, with bladed wheels and the ability to unfold down the middle in order to achieve flight.
Role: Scout
Tezz Volitov from Serbia, he/him
Vehicle: Splitwire, with magnetic wheels and an EMP cannon in the back.
Role: Ranger with a bit of Scout
AJ Dalton from Canada, he/him
Vehicle: Gearslammer, with a spiky plow, treads for good traction, and a drill arm in back that opens into a claw.
Role: Tank with a bit of Hunter
And now for my 3 OCs. I will also add character descriptions for these 3.
Marama Tūwhare (too-fah-ray) from Aotearoa (New Zealand), she/her
Vehicle: Waveripper, with hover/glide capabilities and the ability to fire out energy waves.
Role: Scout with a bit of Leader
She may be a bit oblivious of her beauty, but she is quite knowledgeable of aquatic environments and creatures. Her vehicle was originally a quadski before being upgraded into the Waveripper. This vehicle is quite speedy, and it can project small energy waves behind it to move faster. Additionally, the wheels can tilt on their sides, enabling the vehicle to hover or glide across any surface, either ground or water, even gliding through the air at times. Marama is possibly the most social member of the team, hanging out with just about anyone who will do the same as well as flirting with them, except Stanford.
Bhediya Singh (shorter) from India and Okwaho Rice (taller) from Akwesasne, she/her and she/her
Vehicle: Isolink, which can split into a tanky racing semi and an agile jet, and can act as a flying battering ram in combined form.
Role: Leader with a bit of Tank.
Sisters split at a young age before finding each other again. Okwaho (the taller one) was raised in Akwesasne by her dad, and is an expert vehicular mechanic. Bhediya (the shorter one) was raised in India by her mom, and is great as chemistry and physics. They reunited at a scientific convention and instantly bonded before ending up lost in a Battle Zone. Bhediya had made a large piloted drone while Okwaho had made a speedy truck, and when found by the team, the two vehicles were combined into the Isolink. The Isolink is capable of splitting into two vehicles, with Okwaho driving the heavy-duty truck portion and Bhediya piloting the agile jet portion. Even when combined, the vehicle is capable of flight, though significantly slower than the jet on its own. Bhediya often gets along with Sherman and Tezz, tinkering with alien tech, while Okwaho is often tinkering with the vehicles and other gear.
Vale (vah-lay) Carini from Italy, they/them
Vehicle: Cannonhook, with a rotary hydroelectric cannon that also acts as a winch, fast and strong enough to fling other cars.
Role: Hunter with a bit of Ranger
Originally a demo derby driver and cleanup expert before they ended up having to fight off some Sark and Vandals, nearly ending up in a Battle Zone with their customized all-terrain tow truck had they not ended up working with the BF5. The Cannonhook is capable of launching out its hook and cable to maneuver around Battle Zones or redirect enemy vehicles. Additionally, it has a cannon capable of firing out hydroelectric blasts. Vale is often tinkering with any gear or gaming with Spinner and Zoom.
