spinning fidget rings
FlappyHappy is a stim toy business run by autistics. We focus on trying to make stim toys accessible and affordable to those who need them.
The above is a link to all our spinner ring listings! We now have several different styles. Our spinner rings are designed specifically for fidgeting and stimming. They feature a spinning outer band that you can rotate with your fingers, providing a satisfying sensory experience that can help you focus and relax.
Here are a few photos of some of the styles!

hi!! <3 could you please do Charlie Pace from Lost? (specifically him in season one, if possible!) colors should be black and grey; for stims I'd like to see a stim ring, something related to a black hoodie, playing bass and maybe something related to tasmanian devils! thank you so much<333

I'm a big fan of fidget jewelry. It's discreet, stylish, and I don't have to worry about accidentally leaving it somewhere since I'm wearing it.
I love my tangle toys, but I don't feel like carrying them around at work is very practical.
I love my spinner rings and my möbii necklace!
#7: Spinner Rings!
Autistic Life Hacks
So these are my three spinner rings, and I love them so much. Spinner ways are the best way to stim subtly, which sometimes is necessary at work. You shouldn’t be ashamed of stimming in whatever way helps you the most, but sometimes that can be distracting to other people. If the person sitting next to you in a meeting is bothered by the sound of you clicking a pen or you don’t feel like explaining to people why your stim toy is helping you and not distracting you from your work, a spinner ring is a great option. Again, I don’t want to discourage anyone from stimming more openly, but there’s also nothing wrong with wanting something more low key. Also, if you’re forgetful like I am, I leave stim toys home all the time, but I always have one of my rings on. I even sleep with one of them on because I’ve learned from experience that bringing stim toys into your bed when you are about to fall asleep is likely to lead to you sleeping on them and breaking them or leaving painful indents on your skin. Or accidentally kicking them off the bed in your sleep so they break on the floor and maybe also wake you up with the noise.
I spin my ring all the time without even thinking about it — when I’m anxious, or focusing, or figuring something out — and I don’t have to take the time to go find a stim toy. In general I’m just a big fan of stim toys because they’re fun and safe so I never have to worry if I’m doing something too hard. I like textures, but fidgeting too hard with my clothes could lead to accidentally ripping them, and also I’m not always wearing the exact right texture I want to feel. That’s not an issue with textured stim toys. Stimtastic has some great ones, but I’m getting off track here. Back to rings!
The first one is the one I wear most often. It’s from amazon for about $30(?), and there are other types there too. It’s thin and really comfortable on my finger — most of the time I forget I’m wearing it. Even when I’m going into sensory overload and my other jewelry is bothering me, this ring is never a problem. It’s not the highest quality ring, so you do have to grease it and it doesn’t turn completely smoothly, but I actually like that about it. The slight roughness of spinning it and the texture of the band that spins is really fun.
The second is the most expensive — it’s $165 from a company called Kinekt Design. It’s very expensive, but no other company sells a gear ring that spins. For me, it was worth it because of how much I love it and wear it, but it definitely is not worth it for everyone. It’s alright to indulge in something when it’s something that will be valuable to you, but make smart shopping decisions. Anyways, it’s a really cool visual stim to watch it spin, and it makes a nice noise too. It’s a lot thicker and heavier so I do always feel it on my finger, but I like the weight.
And finally, the space themed one! It’s from Stimtastic for $10, which is a great website and a great price. They also have ones with birds, infinity signs, and dinasours that are silver, and a plain black one and shiny blue one too if you prefer those to stars and planets. It spins very smoothly and is a bit heavier than a normal ring, but not by too much.
If you want to get a spinner ring, I hope my descriptions helped you pick the right one! I can hunt down the links too if anyone can’t find them. Spinner rings are the best, and I totally recommend checking them out!
Late night rewatch of George Gently whilst stimming <3
In other news: I’ve spent the last week and a half trying to heal up my fingers. I pick at them as a nervous fidget habit. Think I’ve mentioned it here before... It’s a problem I’ve had since I was a kid. I’ll pick at them until they’re bloody if I’m not careful. Doing the work I do means washing my hands a lot which dries out my skin and makes the whole thing worse.
A couple weeks ago I thought maybe it might be nice to paint my nails before vacation. I haven’t painted them for years because it only takes one day of food service to strip off the varnish. So not worth the trouble. Every vacation I think about it, but inevitably either run out of time or just decide it isn’t worth it.
And, well... the state of my fingers is always kind of an embarrassment for me. I don’t want to draw attention to them. I remember begging for elbow-length gloves for my senior prom just to cover up my hands.
Anywho, I ordered new spinner rings to fidget with to curb the habit. I had some before and they helped, but somewhere along one of my trips I lost them... which is totally understandable because I take them on and off and set them down everywhere, stuff them in my pockets, etc. I’ve struggled a bit even this week keeping track of them. lol Thankfully, they aren’t expensive.
I say all that to say that I’ve been successful. My hands look so much better than they did! Now I just need to decide if I still even want to paint my nails and, if I do, I need to get some new polish. :D
