Everyone is always talking about dabihawks without recognizing the potential of spinnerhawks can you imagine them raising their eggs together them bonding over their inability to be in the cold the angst of their competing morals hawks stealing spinner’s knives becuse they are shiny Spinner being fascinated and delighted that hawks can turn his feathers into knives Dragon babies Think a bout it they would have dragon babies
This one's been sitting around waiting to be finished forever. Maybe I'll do something more serious with them... One day...
i didnt even consider how spinner and hawks would interact but that is GALAXY BRAINED i hope hori delivers on it in canon too
ANON IVE BEEN THINKING ABOUT THIS FOR MONTHS DESPITE US NOT KNWONG ANYTHING ABOUT SPINNER OR MUTANT DISCRIMINATION.
But okay, so, the thing is, even before that Spinner chapter, what he said was so interesting because he has such a fundamentalist view of heroism. He doesn't think heroes need to be paid for saving people, he specifically says he thinks they shouldn't have personal lives or time to theirselves.
Hawks, barring the pay issue, already lives like that, self-sacrificing and hard-working. He's a hero at the moment because of a sense of duty - and he hates how much of a toll its taking on him. He wants a personal life, he wants a world where he wouldn't have to work as hard at all.
Hawks and Spinner have basically extremely opposing views. Whereas Hawks and Dabi might find commonalities, Spinner and Hawks can't and that is fascinating af.
