Here’s some good news for my Groovies who spin. We don’t ALL love spinning Merino. I know it’s not my personal favorite. I happened upon 6.5 lbs of GORGEOUS Kent Romney combed top! Have you spun Romney? You gotta. Romney is a conservation breed. The fleece is extremely versatile, has a long staple length (spin your socks without nylon!), and it’s relatively soft (it’s not Merino, but then, we aren’t always looking for that!). It has a nice crimp and promises cozy insulation in the winter and cooling properties in the warmer months.
