HEIR APPARENT by Vivian Vande Velde. a girl gets dropped into an rpg fanfic style. WAiiit scratch that, Soulless by Gail Carriger. I’m not sure how I ended up reading a steampunk Victorian romance novel, but the gay vampires and lesbian inventors. quality takes a deep nosedive after like book 2.

awful awful tie between The Year of Our War and Gojiro. The former I forced myself to finish, feeling betrayed the entire time because Miéville left such a glowing review. the latter i think threw away disgustedly like five pages in?

Hi! It’s because scores recorded at Team Challenge Cup did not count for ISU personal best scores. TCC was ISU-sanctioned, but not an “ISU competition”. Only scores from the Challenger Series, Junior Grand Prix, Grand Prix, ISU Championships, World Team Trophy, and Olympics count towards a skater’s personal/season’s best.

(However, the quad flip that Shoma landed at TCC was officially recognized as the first quad flip landed in competition, since TCC was still a competition that used the ISU judging system. It is a bit confusing, haha.)
