An idea, three evenings of work, and voila! An early 1600s pair of bodies (predecessor to corsets). I modified one of our shop patterns to fit me (tbh i should make another pair to fit even better, they're an inch too long at the back and too large at the waist still) and I love them! Unboned - outer layer is cotton duck, interlining is buckram, and lining is...more very heavy cotton.
