Numbers are up, that’s not necessarily a good thing but at least things are running smoothly. The system was a mess before: heaven, hell, up, or down, nobody ever knew where they were going but the Boss has streamlined the process and you’ve been there every step of the way. Your contract was recently acquired, you used to serve a dragon and now you serve a God who loves cats more than people; that’s fine, as long as he doesn’t ask you to start changing the litter boxes. You got into this business because it was always about helping people, the numbers were smaller back then but proportionally speaking the population was smaller too. As the world grows the business is expanding as well and by your calculations too much too quickly could cause the whole program to collapse on itself. That won’t do, you’re meant to be impartial, but who can be impartial when their job is on the line?

the vigil~

You were an author in life, someone who could create grand stories, and even help implement some of history in your own words. The heroes of old were written in your hand, and perhaps it was fate that you were meant to be part of someone else’s story. When you died you were never truly gone. Someone like you couldn’t be contained when there was more to be done. Your spirit was manipulated, however, by some wanna-be author and cambion that had an ability to make you do their bidding. It was an adventure, however, and who were you to say no? Dante led you through the gates of Dis, and you were made to be his guide as he went on his journey to save his true love. It was a little too old school Greek for you, since you’d definitely heard this story before, but either way, you did your duty, protected the cambion throughout the Inferno. What you didn’t expect was for Dante to betray you in the end. All the things you did for him, protecting his weak halfblooded self – only to be subjected to the Inferno as Dante took whom he wanted out and left you behind. With the dissolution of the Inferno, you were released. Your freedom and life yours once more, you wanted to see whose story was now worth telling.

The Executioner~

A statue crafted in the likeness of a God, your form for battle was befitting the deity to which you served, a wyvern of the stars that could take the shape of an elf when they chose. You were a relic of a dead world, forged from the purest ethereal light and made to serve. They gave you purpose and knowledge, sentience and awareness as the high elves crafted life from nothing. Fated to fall, your companion died a noble death but for something that had been given life, death did not come to you so easily. Sealed within your statue, Ayi’ig carried you into the depths and the Underdark sank into your stone. Shadows took the place of what had once been the purest light, malignant darkness that carried with it a mind of its own. Your elven form darkened from noble to shadowed and when Ayi’ig called your name, you came to her side, relentless and unyielding. A thousand judgements, but it was your hand that carried out the sentence. Ayi’ig’s executioner. To the Otherworld you stood, her eternal guardian, the left hand to Nidhogg’s right.
