On YJ actually for real coming back:
Regardless of the issues I have with the show and it's entitled fanbase, I am happy for it and pretty amazed. Despite its problems I think many fans glazed over the show it was a shame at how it was treated by CN and canceled for low merchandise sales (NOT BECAUSE IT WAS POPULAR WITH GIRLS. GOOD GOD DO YOU THINK CN WOULD EVEN AIR STEVEN UNIVERSE AND THE PPG REBOOT IF IT HATED THE IDEA OF A MOSTLY FEMALE AUDIENCE???). There were a lot of things it did very ambitiously and admirable even. Such as the show encompassing almost all of the DCU and giving so many underappreciated characters a chance to shine in animation (though sadly all that was also them biting way more than they can chew). I do love a lot of what it did like while some characterization is questionable YJ got Billy Batson so wonderfully right and I do feel the show gave M'gann's character a proper focus on her White Martian heritage and otherness that I believe didn't get properly discussed much in the comics mostly due to being shoved to the side for "lets have Miss M get partially possesed by her evil future self!!!" That I think people quietly forgot about anyway...anyway hopefully see some old favorites get animated again or for the first time even.
On the other hand, with more of the good YJ can do there will no doubt be more of the tedious like time jumps, characters short changed on well...character for the sake of loads and loads of cameos, and idk more of this version of Wally coming back with addition of Spitfire? God help me if we get YJ BBR which will basically be Spitfire v2 (or v1 technically...idk dudes I'm tired). ALSO if favorites pop on the show how will they be handled? Will I get Wilson family drama that involves others not just Slade and Rose? Will we have to sit through another love triangle like Kory/Dick/Babs? WILL I GET AN ANIMATED BATGIRL CASS AND ORACLE?I dont doubt with this show we will see more Titans outside the usual cartoon ones but again... how well will that go? NTM the fandom... ego boosts and probably continue to tear down DC shows that aren't YJ esp if they dare be lighter in tone. Are there YJ fans who honestly still think TTG mocked their show for getting canceled? Of course there probably are...
How much, "tell instead of show" will we have to sit through especially if it's an even longer time skip???
Also, heres hoping the original cast and writing teams back for the sake of consisitency and there really isnt much point in reviving a show if it doesnt have writers that will be faithful to previous seasons...
Really, its a lot of mixed feeling with this show. It's great it gets another chance and I do hope they work on some of the past problems (which I will continue to be vocal about like Kaldur's character development being left in tie in material or that "feminist scene" or ugh anything involving YJ Wally)
