okay y’all i might be going crazy or just hearing things but something i found really interesting while checking out the first splatoons ost is a certain part sounded really similar to a part in deluge dirge. i find it cool bc in the splatoon 2 art book octarians and salmonoids have a trade agreement. this might not even be on purpose and they decided to reuse that part just because but either way it’s such a cool touch. (this isn’t a theory or anything, just something i noticed)
Another excerpt from Inkopolis Storytime. This is episode 3 featuring Agent 3, otherwise known as Midori Takako in my writings! Script is post Octo Expansion, where Agent 4 and 8 both attend Inkblot Academy (based on Splatoon 2 school uniforms). The trio is heading to a reading event at Inkopolis Central Library.

Agent 3: WHAT?! I thought you had your own plans! You're just here to embarrass me?
Agent 8: No, no! We want to experience this storytime phenomenon! Plus it is my time off from work.
Agent 3: Ugh, why me…? You know what? I'm just gonna go back home.
8 & 4: What? Nooooo! Pleeeeeaaase!
Agent 3: UGHH...f-fine! Let's just get this over with. Oh cod, stop... if you make your eyes any wider I'll have nightmares tonight.
