We fled our home in the north of Gaza and now live in a tent in the south, struggling every day for the basic necessities of life—water, food, medical care. The tents offer no protection from the elements, and we’ve been living in unimaginable conditions for over 400 days.

Our money ran out after 13 months of enduring these hardships. I have no job, and my father, who went to Egypt for heart surgery, can’t return. As the eldest son, I now carry the responsibility of supporting my family while caring for him from afar.
