Had some hc-y thoughts about some regional differences between inkadian inkfish and splatlandian inkfish. Lots of things I meant to write on the inkling page was covered in the octarian page so it looks like I had some favoritism- but I hope you like regardless! Sillies!

Throwing in a hypothetical:

inkfish canonically die when submerged in water because of osmotic pressure. but what if one were to wear in a suit that fully covers their body and skin? could they possibly cheat their water weakness that way or maybe something else would prevent them from surviving?

I really like this way that people share their headcannons so here are mine :)

Also something I forgot to add, the part of Flooding Syndrome that is deadly is the stress of enemy ink replacing your own inside of you, which can cause you to die of shock.

She/They/Bun - Demigirl

Permanent Version of her Splatoon 2 Hero Mode Tatttoo, it used to be washable but she got a permanent version as a show to her heritage

Eye Injury from the Shot on her eye in Splat2.

She got a scar while younger that resembles Octavios Scar (Her Grandpa)

Their Parents are actually mostly octolings. They just ended up dying or being forced out after Callies birth, so Callie was mostly raised by Cuttlefish (Who doesn't... really like her resemblance to his ex)

Actually chose her story mode outfit, she's slowly been embracing her octoling heritage!!!

Currently A Dj in The Octoling Underground (It's just a club mostly meant to joke about it very much not being underground)

Suffering from the funniest (Autism and Anxiety ✨️) and has always felt out of place compared to people (both metaphorically and physically)

Used to have a nasty attitude while younger, Due to the fact that Callie's resemblance to Octavio off put Craig Cuttlefish, to the point where it influenced the cousins relations, until Marie got older. It's now something that's left him physically ill even having his idol persona. Insulting Callie makes him feel sick. Even if it's playful.

Aspd havers rise up. He has aspd. It came out in him being the more rebellious sibling while younger and generally being a "horrible rule breaker". He thinks it's stupid.

Hes gotten top surgery!!!

Currently with my agent ocs, he gets along with agent 4 the best, and goes to her for helpful advice.

yuppieee!!!! I'll try to share more along with the process of how it works. words such as substance, and ooze refer to sanitization ink

before complete mind death of the host the ooze would repeat the words "spread" or "consume" or "feast" as that's it's main goal in life

while it can't be damaged completely with normal ink, said ink is able to cause it to scatter/back off for a short period of time

the ooze can make noises but can't speak without a host

once at the lucratic stage, it can split its body into multiple fragments which makes it immune to dying by being cut up

before death of the host if the host is either burned or drowned alive then the ooze would be destroyed and the victim may be saved if they have any means of respawning (however newer cases report that this fix is not as successful as before)

due to this it is acknowledged that the substance is only weak to fire and water....which all inkfish are weak too as well

if the ooze enters through a wound, it keeps the wound open as an exit point

when by itself, the ooze can slowly but surely crawl around, but is stopped by things such as high steps or walls

Now for the process in inkfish:

Stage 1: ooze enters via wounds, mouth, or ears, victim feels an itchy, burning sensation at the location

Stage 2: ooze slowly enters the bloodstream and eventually the ink sac, victim feels the sensation all over the body

Stage 3: the ooze forces the victim's ink system to create more of itself, slowly changing the victim's appearance into the sanitized in game

Stage 4: the ooze attacks the brain, killing it and fully taking over the body

Stage 5: the ooze forces the body to create too much of itself, causing some to start to leak out of the entrance wound, out of the ears, or out of the mouth

Stage 6 (lucraticy): the ooze is too much for the body and the body slowly tears itself apart, leaving the structure of the body in tact but everything else is a mixture of blood, flesh that didn't dissolve, and the substance binding it together

and that's all I can think of at the top of my head I know it's kinda a lot but I like my hcs very very much yippiee!!!!!

i hhad this idea but im too impatient to draw it properly

when marie wants attention she does not politely ask for it. instead she decides the best way to recieve attention is to sprawl out in callies lap like a cat and go to sleep. you are very welcome, internet
