you ever just think about characters so much that simulating them becomes second nature and you forget how to turn them off? i did that with the squid sisters and they are permanently in my brain now. theres always at leastone of them screaming. have my favorite of their antics
-maries special interest is matpat for some reason and the only thing that could get her to stop sobbing hysterically when she learned he retired from gtlive was watching that 4 hour amanda the adventurer 2 compilation ash did. she also did this when vine went down
-callie is mildly claustrophobic for some reason. she specifically dislikes rooms without clocks and/or windows and will scream until i leave
-callie had a warrior cats phase in like 5th grade and will become viscerally uncomfortable upon its mention
-callie likes blasting my ears off with breakcore (i also like breakcore but im pretty sure she wants me to lose my hearing)
-marie really doesnt do much besides get depressed about matpat and tell me to say mean things to people (dont do that marie im trying to be nice).
-oh and also marie gets really overstimulated for like absolutely no reason

time for my 7 billionth squid sister post of the day i accidentally made an inside joke with my (non-splatoon fandom) friend about callie and marie's government names being "super lesbian" and "penis lol" respectively and somehow i got so used to it that i just instinctively call marie "penis lol". hypno-callie is referred to as "super-not-lesbian".
they asked who my favorite character was but i didnt realize theyd be drawing her and needed a reference and they legitimately almost looked up "penis lol from splatoon"
i recently gave them a drawing on paper i dont feel like remaking, but i'll rewrite the dialogue
hypnotized callie: "IM SUPER-NOT-LESBIAN NOW!!!"
marie, completely unbothered: love is love my g. we're gonna have to change your name tho
agent 4, sobbing: WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE.
(the "we have to change your name" comment is how we came up with the government names thing)
that scene in s2 where marie pulls that boombox out of nowhere makes me think she should have a weird gimmick like sans (undertale) where she will just pull random instruments and such out of nowhere to make sound effects

pro tip: give marie a weird relationship with captain 3 because they left for a "short mission" and didnt come back for like a year i think. make her feel betrayed because they left her to find callie on her own. she knows its a dumb thing to be upset about, and they would have come if they could, but she was still alone for all that time. she tried to contact them any way she could (my thought was that she was in that oe bonus chat because she was looking for 3) and they weren't there. she knows something happened, but they're too damn stubborn and edgy to let her try to help them.
see i’d make a roleplay blog to learn how to better characterize a character but either a) it’s a character nobody gaf about
or b) so many headcanons. so many. are we even sure it’s the same character?
