Inktober, day 3. "Splatfest!♬︎"

she's almost there, so she allows herself to daydream a little... following splatoon prompts by @deepfrye !

A LOT of behind the scenes under the cut:

SOOO...that was a TOUGH one. i still want to stick with storytelling (as i mentioned in my pre-inktober post/reblog) and following prompts order... and it was hard to figure out what to draw...

but thankfully i re-watched octo expansion walkthrough for like...888th time or smth(god i'm obsessed with that dlc) so i woke up with a thought: "OMG WAIT. A BUTTON FOR RETURNING BACK TO INKOPOLIS IS CALLED 'IMAGINE INKOPOLIS'. I CAN WORK WITH THAT HOLY SHIT-" so yep! :D

two very random inklings - one with a custom long ponytail and the other with a double-bun they're kinda just for the crowd but GOD how i love the first inkling design they're so funny! they even have their ear pierced isn't that neat?! and of course

two very random jellyfishes as they usually are i'm so glad i finished this and i'm so happy it turned out even better than i wanted it to be sadly this day was stressful as HECK and it was kinda hard to draw at the beginning but it became a big stress-reliever when i realised how fun it was to plan out the characters i'd put and which team they're on!

Everyone in the research lab is excited for International Octopus Day and the return of Inktober! While busy scientists like ourselves may not have the fine art skills required for 31 days of drawings, we did discover one Senior Researcher with skills equal to or greater than the amount required to pay the proverbial bills!
