Nina's dads!

Barry owns an antique shop where now Nina works as a clerk, and found her washed up on a beach when she was six or seven, impulsively taking her in and wanting to help her. Of course he was not sure what was wrong with her, or... what she really was, and she'd just wail and scream in a language he didn't understand.

so Mason ended up with his weirdest shift ever at the hospital, with a shirtless man holding a goopy child (wearing an oversized flannel) asking what was wrong with the kid.

so he rushes in, leads them a bit forcefully to his office and asks Barry what the actuall hell he was doing with an Octoling child, to which Barry just asks "what's an Octoling?"

Nina's being taken care of by Barry, and they go often to Mason as she keeps getting sick, and he's the only one keeping them anonymus. Eventually Barry invites him to grab a coffee, then lunch, then dinner at his place, then the movies, spend the holidays together...

Nina's the ring bearer AND flower girl at their wedding :3
