What was he going to do now? He’d gotten his nervous self to the woods, managed to muster the courage to drive further in, and now that he’s done that...Arthur felt the overwhelming urge to flee. It was a good instinct, a very good one. One he should listen to.
There was a quiet whine that wiggled free as Arthur rested his chin on the wheel, the road ahead was dark, the road behind was dark. While all was silent...the pressure hovering over Arthur was so oppressive, it made it difficult for Arthur to breathe. That decided it. With a relieved and tired sigh, Arthur stopped the van and made a U-turn. Maybe he could get home and not see Splatter at all. Maybe being home with Lance, Lucan, and Galahad...they’d be able to give him some comfort, if nothing else.
“Maybe I can call Vivs when I get home. She’d know how to talk me down.” Arthur nodded, a quiet peace in his chest as he approached the edge of the forest. It would be okay. Just get home and be safe and...and...oh no. That pressure was back and Arthur could feel electricity seemingly dancing all over his skin and in his hair. He knew this ominous feeling and one peek in the mirror told him all he needed to know.
Two pinpricks of bright light behind him...and getting closer.
Arthur slammed his accelerator to the floor and the race...was on...

@splatterlewis and I were chilling in a call and nerding about Samurai Jack and Alice in Wonderland. They made a comment about Jack Splatter in the Alice game and then this came about.
It was fun to draw.
