I was really into Splatoon 2 and the surrounding online community, but haven’t really played or interacted with the fan base since Splatoon 3 released.

The fanbase was never perfect but it genuinely got so toxic around that time I just couldn’t enjoy the game anymore. Like Skul got cancelled (rightfully) and the vibe was off, then everyone saw Vian get cancelled on the basis of rumors and almost every content creator left.

Is the fanbase still like this? I know Alphastar is active but did every other splatuber just quit or move to another game?
