I’m too anxious to sleep so I’m gonna think instead about Caleb and Essek adopting a stray cat that’s been hanging around the Soltryce Academy. Caleb has been feeding her on his lunch break and getting increasingly attached so really it was only a matter of time before he brought her home. Caleb thinks maybe he’s been giving her too many treats because she seems like she’s getting a little chunky, but then it turns out that she was actually pregnant and has a litter of kittens under the bed. Caleb messages in sick to work for a week to stay home and fuss over the tiny new kittens with Essek. Essek names each of the kittens an Undercommon word that Caleb later discovers are just different kinds of soup.
