The road so far…

It’s been a while since my last update, but here are the latest patches I stitched on and how the bag looks overall right now! I’m so happy with how it’s turning out!! I’ve still got more things up my sleeve for this, but I’m open to some ideas too

So when I get angry or just generally speaking very emotional, I needle felt cos I used to hit things and I think that needle felting is a nice fix for that as it's just repeatedly stabbing some felt over and over untill it becomes something beautiful.

I started my first project when my Dean broke up with Cas. I had litrally ever done it before and this is what I got! I love it so much! (I'm planning on taking pictures later in n the week. Also you can tell Cas was the first one I made)

Buuut, the ending of Supernatural got me so fucking angry that I started something quite big, that I haven't finished yet, a Dean plush! Why Dean and not Cas when I love Cas so fuckin much? Because I'll be cosplaying as Cas and my mother is found as Baby to a con next year that got cancelled due to Covid and I thought it'd be cute to have a tiny Dean plush for us both to hold.

Why am I posting about this? Well ya see... I didn't tell my mother who it was, she just made a joke. I had the legs and body done (he looked like a dead among us character) and I took a brake. I come back and she is just lookin at it and gose "It's Dean" and I go "huh? On yeah it is but why did you know it's just legs?"

I had the needle sticking out his back!

She found it really funny then I had to take a brake from doing that project because each time I pick him up I just can't do it again 🤣

The latest update on my hunter’s duffle bag. It’s taking me a bit longer to figure out where I want each patch as I’m branching out. And I had more ideas™️ so I bought a few more patches that’ll be part of this eventually 😅 I’m so ridiculously excited for this project 🥰

I’ve honestly been in a creative slump in the last couple years, but working on this bag has gotten me really excited to make things again. I am forever grateful to this show for somehow always pulling me through my darkest times.

But let’s skip the chick flick moment 😜

I’m planning to embroider some patches of my own to fill in gaps, and I’m going to be painting an angel banishing sigil on one of the sides (because it needs to look like it’s blood, obviously).

Anyway, if you have any thoughts or suggestions for the bag, please let me know!! 🥰

Also, the impala patch broke my needle?!? So rude.

The latest additions to my duffle bag! I particularly like the “a brother will help you move a body”. It wasn’t even a supernatural specific one when I got it, but I can’t think of any pair of brothers it applies to more 🥰

On to the other side of the bag! Some latent part of my ‘raised christian’ mind finds the burning church a little bit sacrilegious, but it fits the vibes of the show so well. It feels like episode 08x23 when Sam and Dean are outside of the church after discontinuing the demon trials and the angels get cast out of heaven.

The explanation no one asked for. I saw a supernatural messenger bag being sold in a retail store, and I thought it looked terrible. I liked it in theory since it was trying to look like it had patches of warding sigils, but the execution just really wasn’t my style. So, powered by the hyperfixation gods, I decided to make my own version. A hunter’s duffle bag, inspired by the bags the boys use to carry their weapons in the show.
