appreciation post for miriam the angel's actress carlena britch. she ain't gone, I just think we should appreciate her.

okay hear me out: dagon (the demon) / miriam (the angel)

they both have the same mission in canon, right? they're both under orders to get to jack and take them to their respective leaders.

anyways, pretend that both of them survived their attempts to babysnatch jack already. instead of asmodeous the kfc demon and the other nameless angels, they're the main antagonists of s13 and spend all of it hunting down jack.

they of course cross paths on their missions and decide to work together to speed things up (both planning to betray the other when the time comes.) except...oh no! they get along too well (they do have the same bitchy humor) and bond over their insane stories about heaven and hell. dagon realizes not all angels are boring, miriam revels in finding someone who can keep up with her snark.

anyways, long story short they fall in love and realize jack shouldn't belong to lucifer or heaven, so they both walk away from their missions and instead they become jack's weird aunts. basically, good omens but with evil lesbians. and SCENE.

miragon (miriam/dagon) office au. they're working for competing talent agencies trying to sign the newest child star, jack kline. both of them realize their offices are treating the young talent like crap though and that jack's c-list dad is just pressuring and using them to get famous.

anyways, they fall in love and both quit and the ending scene is them attending jack's school play where they're free from all the fame and drama.

it's good omens but sapphic and funnier. it's the story of two unlikely lesbian aunts falling in love. it's what could've saved season 13. it's good hair for good hair. it's an excuse for me to look at carlena britch for long periods of time. what is there not to love.

anyways, for anyone new here miragon is the song of the summer and the rarepair spn ship of my dreams (besides this blog's titular URL of course) that I made up simply because I love miriam the angel & dagon the demon soooo much. one day I will do something about that...one day...

okay thinking more about your s13 dagon and miriam raising jack idea.... who do you think would be the more protective parent like somehow i imagine miriam being like let him sit up on the roof with glowing eyes like a gargoyle and dagon is like come down here young man. i just think dagon might the one acting more like an angel sometimes and miriam being like a mischievous demon with letting jack get away with all kinds of antics 😂 anyways i would love to hear more about your headcanons for this au!!!! moarrrr

​​YES HELLO I AM LISTENING (post this is referencing before I continue in case anyone just got here, join the miriam/dagon agenda lesbian good omens agenda today!)

look, they will definitely both be the bad influence parents in their own way but in a world where dagon realized lucifer was using both her and jack (and turned against him, which is a BIG thing for a prince of hell to do) what WOULD that look like? what would she be like? we know that dagon is protective and helpful in her own weird, “I don’t REALLY care” way from her time with kelly (going with her to the doctor, getting her everything from vitamins to pillows, “your baby can save us all”, etc.)

(and not to sidestep and dagonkelly for a second, but she really WAS the ideal attentive parent until cas got tapped in — and even if it was because lucifer asked to, she was invested in this kid’s well-being too and planned on looking out for them because she knew kelly was a goner once jack was born. cas and dagon both knew this kid was destined for great things and actually put in the effort to help jack be born healthy & safe while lucifer was off being a useless deadbeat swooping in the last minute)

so back to the present — now she’s realized the truth, I can definitely see dagon being very protective and worried about jack now that she knows that they’re nothing but a ridiculously sweet, well-moraled kid that reminds her way too much of kelly and her unshakeable goodness. and since this is the secret good s12 where dagon didn’t try to kill cas and died (#rip), I feel like jack would remember that dagon looked over them and their mom and trust her. and dagon knows how lucifer can be more than anyone so she’ll have extra reason to keep them away from all of that.

(there’s also layers to the fact that in this AU dagon would go from rooting for lucifer jr. to wipe out all the angels to trusting and liking one, so that’s gotta be complicated)

meanwhile, MIRIAM. what little we do know about miriam is that she simply does not care anymore. the angels have been on fruitless mission after mission, trying to preserve the last of her kind, and now all of their hope is in this kid since jack can create angels. she vandalizes dean’s car, she stabs the sheriff’s kid without hesitating, when she’s cornered and about to be killed she says “fuck it” and stabs jack anyways. she has zero filter and impulsive control. so 1000% agreed, yes, she definitely would be the one egging jack on to see how crazy psycho that kid can go.

anyways, tl;dr miriam is the chaotic gay aunt/parent encouraging jack to use their abilities to get them out of tough situations (similar to dean encouraging jack to be a battering ram against doors, except miriam is an angel and can get more creative because she knows what angels are capable of) and the one instantly killing anyone who dares threaten them. meanwhile, dagon makes sure they're all safe first before rolling her eyes and asking if they want to get ice cream after.
