There's so much discourse around this ep, thinking about it made the rewatch 1)

I really like the idea of Sam's defiance not letting Chuck's wound to heal

They really struck gold when they hired Rob Benedict. His ability to 2)

I remember seeing Cas with MoC on his hand. Was it a deleted scene? 3)

Cas agreeing to take MoC 100% was planning on activating his deal with 4)

5 seconds of Jack!!!!! I miss himmm

Even if Dean was actually planning to confess to Cas in the Purgatory 5)

2)(They really struck gold when they hired Rob Benedict. His ability to) go from playing a harmless pathetic doofus to playing a dangerous (but still pathetic) God is impressive.

4)(Cas agreeing to take MoC 100% was planning on activating his deal with) the Empty in case he couldn't control the Mark.

5)(Even if Dean was actually planning to confess to Cas in the Purgatory) I'm certain Cas didn't stop him because he didn't want to hear it. Cas was too tired, and they were running out of time, they couldn't stop to talk, they needed to get out.

6)(The things Chuck was showing to Sam was such a bullshit. Ok, salmondean) got turned into vamps. But vamps aren't mindless monsters, they can control themselves. Why would vamp!Sam and Dean attack Jody and Bobby? It makes no sense.

7)(Everyone who thinks that all of saileen relationship was orchestrated by) Chuck and that they broke up because none of this was real watched the episode with their eyes and ears closed.

Why didn't Eileen go with tfw to Hell. We could've had the meeting between 1)

Rowena's couples therapy session for Dean and Cas was cringe, sorry

I have a very mixed feelings on Rowena's fate. On one hand, I'm glad 3)

Jake Abel is the star of this episode. He put so much into midam dynamic 4)

No one has ever won as much as midam shippers did in this episode

It's insane how gentle and soft Michael is with Adam. Adam really domesticated h

I wish our Michael could meet AW!Michael, it would've been so interesting

3)(I have a very mixed feelings on Rowena's fate. On one hand, I'm glad) she got some sort of happy ending, and that's more than a lot of spn characters got. But on the other hand, her entire arc was about her learning that she doesn't need power to be happy, and her ending kinda destroys all of her development. Also, it undermines her sacrifice in 15x03 which Idk doesn't feel good.

4)(Jake Abel is the star of this episode. He put so much into midam dynamic) that I can write multiple essays on his acting choices in just this one episode. Very impressive performance.

5)(Adam muting Michael when he got too angry with salmondean) reminded me of that one Grimes's tweet "Babe, I love you, but you need to get off your phone".

Cas is especially unhinged in this ep. Shows up, ruins saileen date, "probes" 1)

The juxtaposition of saileen doing all this cute couple stuff and destiel 2)

Don't you just love it when the story tells Dean that wanting things 3)

I find it interesting that Eileen wasn't mad at Cas for sending Sam into a 4)

Eileen had an insane. The way she got more and more bewildered 5)

I love how they gave Dean and Cas time to find strength to continue the 6)

I still don't understand why Cas would call Sergei after what he did to Jack

Dean sings only when he feels especially free (and bisexual)

There's so much tension between Dean and Cas. It genuinely feels like 7)

Sam is such a loser. The girl that he likes is back from the dead and 8)

Shows up, ruins saileen date, "probes") Sam's wound, sends him into coma, calls the man who kinda killed his son for help, watches how the man who kinda killed his son almost kills Sam, blackmails that man into helping by threatening to kill his niece. He's just doing whatever lmao

2)(The juxtaposition of saileen doing all this cute couple stuff and destiel) wasting away from divorce depression is so funny. Dean literally just couldn't bear to be with happy couple in the same building.

3)(Don't you just love it when the story tells Dean that wanting things) for himself will make him an unredeemable monster? Personally, I think it's awesome.

4)(I find it interesting that Eileen wasn't mad at Cas for sending Sam into a) coma. Like I probably would've been mad as hell. I guess she saw that Sam understood the danger and still was completely on board with the plan.

5)(Eileen had an insane. The way she got more and more bewildered) throught the episode was very entertaining.

6)(I love how they gave Dean and Cas time to find strength to continue the) fight. Cas finds his strength through saving a mother from the pain of losing her child, and Dean finds his stregth through seeing what nihilism did to his friend. It's nice/

7)(There's so much tension between Dean and Cas. It genuinely feels like) tension between exes, and it feels intentional, more intentional than ever.

8)(Sam is such a loser. The girl that he likes is back from the dead and) is here, next him, flirting. And what does he do? He makes her search for the lore in the books with him! Eileen, leave his ass, I would treat you so much better.

Man, I love this episode, it's so good

Sam remade Eileen's body and brought her back to life just like Cas remade Dean

Isn't it insane how Rowena left all of her possessions to Sam. Just like wow

3)(Cas believing the woman who thought her son was missing when no) one else did. Cas' little speech about authorities. Cas doing everything to save this boy and his mom. Honestly, it's probably the hottest he's ever been.

4)(I think Cas believed that the boy was already dead. He thought) this woman will have to live the same heartbreak as he did. Actually saving that boy gave him so much strength to continue living. Maybe his son is dead, but he can save other people's children, he still can help.

5)(Eileen is so funny, and brave, and cool, and smart, and strong, and cute) and beautiful. I loveee herrrr

6)(I loved the fucked up witch family. Thank you, Meredith Glynn, for) continuing Yockey's mission of including fucked up witches to the plot.

We don't talk enough about this episode, it's so good

Lilith's actress is insanely charismatic. This Lilith might be my fave 1)

I love the idea of giving Sam visions of Chuck's drafted endings 2)

The way Sam worries about Cas is so sweet. Dean pretends that everything 3)

Oh, season 15 we could've had if only Yockey stayed till the end

Why is the show gaslighting us that Dean doesn't look like his yonger 4)

Chuck thinking that Dean can be seduced by a girl who just graduated from 5)

Jensen's acting was incredible in this episode. The despair in his voice 6)

2)(I love the idea of giving Sam visions of Chuck's drafted ending) Firstly, it's a great callback to s2. Secondly, it creates the feeling of Chuck constantly rewriting his story. Very cool.

3)(The way Sam worries about Cas is so sweet. Dean pretends that everything) is fine, but Sam can't do that. He already lost his mom and his son, he can't lose his friend too.

4)(Why is the show gaslighting us that Dean doesn't look like his yonger) self, but Sam does?

5)(Chuck thinking that Dean can be seduced by a girl who just graduated from) college just proves how little he knows about his own characters.

6)(Jensen's acting was incredible in this episode. The despair in his voic) when he talked about fighting Chuck at the end of the episode was just amazing.

7)(The way you can feel that the story move through every typical spn) trope, but something wrong. You feel story closing in on Dean and Sam, you feel that the story repeats stories from earlier seasons, but it's all wrong, because there's an emptiness left by Jack, Mary and Cas. No matter how badly Chuck wants it, Dean and Sam can't return back to his claustrophobic narrative.

8)(Dean tried to escape his fate in the previous season, he was trying to) build a family, a future with no hunting. But all of that was ripped away from him, and now he resigned himself to the life of hunter who has no one, but his brother. Heartbreaking.

I loved the episode, but the case was kinda boring

1)(This ep might be the most insanity inducing episode in spn. What do you mean) they foreshadowed the finale and called it awful?? They must have known, right??? Is show sending me secret messages about its finale. It must have, right? I'm totally normal about all of this.

2)(I hate that I had to watch jackles dressing up as an action hero and to hear) him sing. Too self-indulgent.

3)(I love how this (and prev) episode characterizes Chuck and his relationship) with women. I love how he sees their value only when they perform emotional labor for him. I love how he asks for criticism, but can't handle it. I love how he multiple times calls Becky his biggest fan when she always was Sam's fan more than anything. I love how he pretends to be nice and a little pathetic guy to make women trust him. I love how angry he is that Becky moved on from him. He's so repulsive, so gross, I love it.

4)(The parallel between the motw and Jack was actually sickening) The way Dean had to be an executioner for a kid who was just like his son is sooo.

5)(Dean is trying so hard to believe that he's free, that he can move on with) his life without Jack, Mary, Rowena, Cas, because they all were fictional anyway. Sam is more honest with himself, he can acknowledge that freedom doesn't mean shit without his loved ones.

I don't know what to tell you, guys, I think this episode fucks severely

Rowena looked so good this episode, the entire plot could've been a total 1)

Ketch got a much better death than he deserved

Cas is stronger than me. I would've ended it all right after burning Jack's body

Stevie was a little bit hostile towards Rowena, and it's probably the 2)

Oughh, Rowena's scared wet eyes, her panic, her despair. Ruth is such 3)

It's so funny how Belphagor was literally trying to do the same thing 4)

Belphagor pretending to be Jack to play on Cas' feelings made me sickk

2)(Stevie was a little bit hostile towards Rowena, and it's probably the) usual hunter-witch tension, but in my head Rowena/AW!Charlie situationship happened, so I see it as Stevie having to talk to her girlfriend's ex.

3)(Oughh, Rowena's scared wet eyes, her panic, her despair. Ruth is such) a great actress.

4)(It's so funny how Belphagor was literally trying to do the same thing) s6!Cas did. So Cas knows for a fact that letting anyone eat millions of souls is a bad idea, but he still gets berated for doing the right thing this time and stopping Belphagor. Delightfully fucked up.

5)(I love Sam and Rowena's relationship so much. It's clear that they deeply care) about each other, but they're still wiiling to do what they must. The way Rowena was ready to sacrifice Sam to get Crowley back, the way Sam never blamed her for that. The way Sam was ready to sacrifice Rowena to save the world, the way Rowena guided his hand with a knife to her stomach. It's just so beautiful.

6)(The break up scene between Dean and Cas is so explicitly romantic, I) don't even care what anyone says. The music, the acting, the directing, the editing - all that frames the scene not as a fight between friends, but a real actual divorce.

7)(I don't think that the destiel drama is cheap and doesn't make sense) Yes, Dean constantly contradicts himself, but the thing is that he isn't just grieving, he's going though the loss of faith. Sam and Cas had to go through it very early on with God and angels, but Dean never believed in higher powers, he believed in himself and his family. In s15, he learns that he and his loved ones are just characters in a story, he loses faith in himself, he loses faith in his love, his faith in Cas. In the context of this crisis, Dean's anger, coldness and cruelty, his contradictions make total sense to me.
