When Walker’s final arc ends with Jared Padalecki’s character getting trapped in an uncanny dreamscape with a fake happy life as he’s slowly dying buried in forest dirt, which he has to escape before suddenly quitting his job as ranger, taking his kids and taking off out of town as fast as he can, and The Boys s4 brings Jeffrey Dean Morgan in as a literal demon, canonically introduces a new age of pagan (specifically Roman) “wrathful gods”, ties it into Revelations somehow, makes a bunch of posters saying Robert Singer (played by Jim Beaver) is possessed by a demon, introduces undead (specifically undead Campbells, yeah Hughie has relatives and one of them was briefly a vengeful ghost, on The Boys, a show notably not about ghosts) and shapeshifting seductresses as things that exist, and brings back Soldier Boy with the exact hair and beard cut that Dean had in the spnwin finale, and announces that Jared will have a role in The Boys s5, and the new head of the college in Gen V is announced to be a supe(?) named Cipher at the same time that Jason Ritter starts rp’ing on twitter as being possessed by Bill Cipher

my favorite thing about jensen and misha is that they experience being insane about the cw’s supernatural in polar opposite ways. misha is like ‘haha look at me i’m so crazyyy look at all this homoerotism i have hereee woops look at me make a top/bottom joke haha im not like other girls’ like he’s fully aware of it and just rolls with it meanwhile jackles is just as insane but absolutely convinced that this is just what a normal actor does like ‘yes of course all actors become so close to their character that they mourn their loss and basically get possessed by him daily yes of course this is normal what do you mean homoerotism i don’t know anything about that that was all dean’ like. the both of them represent the spn derangment syndrome spectrum

Handprint on the jacket, visible to the world even though the iconic shot was all about the fact that the handprint was under the shirt sleeve, not visible right away, so painful yet had as of yet gone unnoticed. This iconic moment in television history that only happened because of a conversation born out of fateful inconveniences. This handprint happening on the very last day of shooting before the world shut down, being visible in the shot, could not be erased. That for continuity's sake had to be carried forward into 15x19, the clearest and maybe only clear indication that Castiel ever existed on the show that survived the edits.
