A/N: This is an actual conversation (mostly, with some changes in the end) I had with Rob Benedict earlier this month. When the Superpower square popped up on my AU Bingo card, I knew I had to write it. Also, the gif below is technically Mount St. Helen’s, but play along with me people. The actual even I am referring to occurred in the 1600′s...B.C. (which was definitely BEFORE CAMERAS ;) see what I did there?).
“Okay, Y/N, your turn. Would you rather have the super power of mind reading or teleportation?” Rob asked. He was laying on his back in the middle of your living room, while you were stretched out on the couch.
It was a Thursday afternoon and after a grueling test, you both decided to take a much needed break. You and Rob headed back to your apartment just off campus and made Bloody Marys to reward yourselves. After a couple, you decided to play a game of Would You Rather.
“Teleportation,” you answered with no hesitation.
“Really? Why?” Rob sat up and looked at you.
“Think about it; no more long, expensive plane rides home to see our families. We decide, on a day like today for instance, we want to go to the beach? Bam, we’re there, soaking up some vitamin D. Or wait! I was watching this show on Netflix last night, ‘World’s Worst Disasters’ and there is one about volcanoes.”
“Did you know approximately three and half thousand years ago there was a volcano that erupted on the island of Thera, which is now Santorini? It literally tore the island apart! The blast was so catastrophic that it created a tsunami that devastated the island of Crete over seventy miles away! Not only that, but Crete was thought to be the location of the ancient Minoan civilization? I just think it would be fascinating to be able to travel to all these exotic or historic places and explore to my hearts content, then just pop on home! No baggage, no planes…Oh! Maybe swing on over to Rome when I was done.”
“Would you go through Customs?” Rob pondered aloud.
“No silly!” you shoved him playfully.
“But isn’t that illegal?” Rob quizzed you.
“Seriously, Robert?” you rolled your eyes at him. “‘sides, by the time they catch up to me, I’m already gone.” You looked at Rob, who still had a concerned look on his face. “Would it make you feel better if I brought you with me? You’ve always wanted to go to Rome...”
“Yeah, it would,” Rob smiled.
“Okay, Robby, would you rather have the power of mind reading or be able to fly?” you stared him down.
“Mind reading,” he stated.
“Why?” You threw his own question back at him.
“Because then I wouldn’t sit in your apartment drinking and playing silly games with you without knowing how you felt about me; I’d already know,” Rob took a gulp from his beverage.
“Robby, you’re the only one I want to play these silly games with,” you answered, sliding off the couch to sit right in front of him. “I like you, too.”
“We’ve been best friends for years, I more than like you,” Rob smiled, his face blushing under his beard.
“More than like?” you asked.
“Do you know what your real super power is?” Rob queueried.
“No, but I bet you’re going to tell me,” you giggled, feeling the effects of the afternoon cocktails.
“Making me fall ass over tea kettle for you,” Rob leaned forward and pressed his lips to yours.
So I was writing a Jensen X reader fanfic last night....been writing for a good hour or so from midnight to 1 in the morning. A good 3,000 or so words in.....and my phone fuxking decided to run out of battery! I even had it plugged in. You could have imagine how pissed off I was. Was proud of how it was turning out too 😭😭😭😭
