We invite you all to join the party as we celebrate 7 days of Spocklaan goodness!! Please feel free to join us and other Spocklaan fans as we create fics, art, music, moodboards, etc. to share our love for La'an and Spock.
The days will have the following prompts:

What personality traits do they share? How are they similar? What's up with the height difference? The possibilities are endless.
Day 2: Love Day
Love is in the air!! May it be in the form of Fluff or Smut...How do Spock and La'an show their love? Do they give gifts, spend time, or hole up in their quarters for a passionate evening?

Had to finish off with more music. I originally intended to write this as a duet between Spock and La'an with lyrics and everything, but I got too busy to write the lyrics. I still plan to, eventually, but this is the music side. The solo Flute and solo Clarinet would be La'an and Spock singing.
I'm so sad that Spocklaan week is over so soon. It was so much fun. I wasn't able to do as much as I had initially hoped because work got the better of me, but I still had so much fun. There is so much talent in our little community. I loved seeing work from the regular Spocklaan posters, and seeing works and ideas from new people that we don't hear from as often really made my heart happy and helped me survive this week. Our little corner and ship are definitely making an impact.
Anyway, that is all! And I hope you enjoy Parallels!!!
Thank you so much @tinderbox210 for letting me use your wonderful work as album art for the music I've been making this week!!
Came up with a little story to go along with this mashup. This meant to be more a descriptive thing than anything so sorry for the awkward writing format.
(Forgive the poor writing. I wrote it in under an hour while I was sleep-deprived and stressed and my brain wouldn't let me let it go until it was written).
Enjoy!

In the privacy of their rooms, Spock and La’an hear music start playing from nowhere. They’ve both just been heartbroken, Spock by Christine and La’an by Jim Kirk. La’an recognizes the song as a reprise of the one she sang before, but Spock doesn’t.
They both walk toward the wall they shared and La’an hears Spock begin to sing. It feels as if he’s singing to her. La’an comes in with her own verse and Spock gasps from his room, not realizing that La’an could hear him, but her voice soothes him and he presses his head against the bulkhead wanting to be with her as they sing.
Their voices harmonize at the bridge where they both sing of their own faults, Spock about feeling his emotions and La’an about her stoicism. They both press a hand to the bulkhead; what they don’t realize is that their hands are pressing at the same place.
La’an brings in the chorus, singing of how it’s time to change her paradigm, only this time, it’s not about Jim Kirk. She never admitted her feelings for Spock but as the music swells around them and Spock listens on the other side of the wall, she feels something inside her grow and reach out toward him. Spock joins in, singing of missing information, not about Christine, but about how he missed something that was so important right in front of him, a thing that is now separated by only a bulkhead as they sing.
La’an turns and presses her back against the wall as she cries about her discomfort, wanting to let go of what holds her back and Spock responds, urging her to do so lest he drown in pain. After their meld, he gets small senses of her and his curiosity about her emotions has heightened exponentially since the music started. He can feel her emotions and he wants to understand them, hear them from her before his own curiosity overtakes him.
Spock turns to press his back against the bulkhead too, reminding himself that he needs to remain logical and stay to reason before La’an declares she won’t let it slip out of control. She can’t. She can’t bear any more heartache after Jim, but for Spock, she is almost willing to take the chance.
Spock sings again of missing information, slowly turning back to face the bulkhead, singing a little louder for La’an to hear clearly, hoping she does the same. She does, responding that she can let go and let her fear be replaced as she turns to face the bulkhead too. She knows she's going in blind, something she has never done before and she wonders how it feels. Spock however knows that whatever will happen is not a possibility and he will do what he needs to to ensure it is a reality.
True to the form of the rift, La’an exposes a fantasy she had of her and Spock having a life, being together with a family and all, something she never admitted to anyone before. Spock exposes that he told himself that he and La’an would be together, even though there was no evidence at the time of anything.
At this, La’an breaks from the wall, walking into the middle of her room, overwhelmed by the emotions inside her and reminding herself that it could take only one mistake to ruin it all, or worse.
She is surprised to hear Spock sing in unison with her that it could break their hearts.
Spock promises he won’t make that mistake again, a testament to the mistakes he made with Christine. La’an slowly walks back to the bulkhead, reminding herself and Spock that she had never been so vulnerable before.
There’s a beat of silence as the two stare at the bulkhead, knowing the other is on the other side.
They begin singing together once more, harmonizing, Spock of how he and Christine were ill-matched and in his pursuit of her missed something right in front of him. La’an sings about how she knows it's time to change, only needing to let go. She likes thinking and dreaming about things changing. She presses a hand against the bulkhead, wanting to feel Spock’s hand on hers.
Spock, hearing her pain, encourages her to break free, pressing his hand against the bulkhead. This time he can sense La’an’s hand and La’an can sense his, but the barrier still exists and La’an’s fear creeps back in. She sighs, on the verge of tears that she knows she won’t let go.
She’s flying blind at this moment, vulnerable and bearing her soul to the one person on the ship more emotionally unavailable than she is, yet Spock still sings of possibilities.
La’an chuckles, wondering how it would feel.
The music is soft and La’an feels Spock’s presence leave from the bulkhead. She chokes at the emptiness, thinking that he left her alone, but only a few moments later, there’s a ring at her door. La’an goes to answer only to see Spock standing, looking at her intently.
He holds up his hand like he did on the bulkhead slowly and La’an watches it rise. She looks back at him, then lifts her own hand, pressing her hand against his without the barrier of the wall as she sings the final “How Would That Feel?”

Coming home after a long shift, La’an expected to find Spock on the couch going through the most recent stellar surveys while Nova slept in her crib beside him. As she walked through the door though, she was surprised to see the living room was empty. She sighed and rubbed her neck, figuring Spock took Nova for a walk or down to sick bay since she sensed nothing was amiss.
As she walked deeper into the room, she heard a soft sound coming from the kitchen. Curious, she went to check it out. She stopped in her tracks at the scene in front of her.
Spock was mixing food and plating as Nova was securely tucked into her baby sling, fast asleep against Spock’s bare chest. The soft sound was coming from Spock, a gentle tune as he expertly arranged the food in front of him while making sure not to make movements too jarring.
La’an smiled at the beautiful visual as Spock hummed and swayed with their daughter against him. She began humming along, catching his attention. He turned to the new voice, then smiled, placing the utensils down and wiping his hands on a towel beside him. La’an closed the distance between them and Spock wrapped his arms around her, guiding her to sway along with him, harmonizing the lullaby.
Nova made a small gurgle, getting the attention of both her parents, but she quickly settled back, soundly sleeping against Spock’s chest. Spock and La’an sighed and looked at each other with soft smiles. Spock guided La’an to lay her head on his chest and for a few more minutes, they got lost in the music they made as they swayed in the kitchen with their sleeping baby between them.
Once Nova was successfully put down, Spock guided La’an back to the living taking one of her hands in his and wrapping his other arm around her waist.
“Computer, play slow dance music,” Spock called. The computer beeped and started playing a soft jazz tune and Spock guided La’an to sway along with him. La’an laid her head against Spock’s chest once more, relaxing as she heard his heartbeat in the distance.
Spock pressed his lips to the crown of La’an’s head and sighed contentedly. He murmured something quietly into her hair, something in Vulcan. While La’an couldn’t speak Vulcan and understood very little, the phrase Spock uttered was one she was very familiar with.
“I love you, too.” She whispered, knowing he could hear her clearly above the music.
