Noonien Singh rushed to Spock's side. 'Spock!'
He turned to greet Noonien Singh with a hint of relief and happiness in his expression: 'La'an!' He seemed ready to embrace her until he noted everyone looking at him, at which point he retreated behind a more subdued facade. 'Are you all right?'
'I am. Thank you for asking.'
She saw Noonien Singh discreetly take Spock's hand beneath the console.

We can see this clearly in the comics that Spock has gone from calling her Lieutenant to La’an.
La'an and Uhura are so focused. Spock's playing circus music in his head.

Helping her into her helmet while still talking business in Seeds of Salvation. On the show and here, he does little things to show is devotion. Like making her coffee in What is Starfleet?
I wish there were a clearer and closer shot of this. But I love that Spock and La'an are casually helping each other out with getting dinner ready through this whole scene. Very cute and domestic.
And it just occurred to me the other day that La'an isn't in the Captain's quarters party in Children of the Comet. And now look how far she's come. She really allowed herself to be part of the family and be loved by this crew. Love that for her.
(unrelated by Chapel's boots? I must have them. Uhura's too. They're the same except gold instead of silver.)
