Wait, YOU’RE Spoiled Sweet? I had no clue… you have to know, I must’ve read House Calls 3-4 times over this summer, because I remembered one day how much I loved the interactions between Sakura and the ninken in “some fic” I read ages ago. And I went looking and found House Calls again.

It’s both my KakaSaku comfort fic and the sole reason I started writing again after 8 years. It brought me joy again as both a reader and writer. And for that… thank you. So much.

I’m going to read your original writing tonight. And congratulations on making that leap!

Girl. I've been following you for forever? How did you not know?! LMAO This is the funniest thing and I love it.

Regardless, I'm so glad you still enjoy reading House Calls! And not gonna lie got a little teary to read that you started writing again because of it. I love it that HC did that for you.

KakaSaku Month Week 1 Fanfic Recs

Operation Ring Finger (One-Shot | Humor/Romance) by ArinaMaron (@arinamaron) - Rokukashi’s ANBU guards take their job very seriously. lol I found the mission report format very fun to read.

Myth or Fairytale AU

If You Believe In Magic (Multi-Chapter) by yunyu (@fineillsignup) - I found this gem yesterday as I was scrolling through the kakasakumonth tag on Tumblr so I saved it in my drafts and just finally got around to reading it today! I really love the amount of detail put into this fic and although it’s still ongoing, I needed to mention it here because I love it so much! hehe If you like Japanese mythology, be sure to check this one out!

Rough Seas (One-Shot | Adventure/Fantasy) by ElizaTellsTheStory (@elizatellsthestory) - I love Mereshark Kakashi so when I first saw this pop up on Tumblr, I just had to read it. hehe Bonus points for Pirate Sakura~ The writer also has this under the “He desperately wanted to breathe” prompt as well except it’s “[S]he desperately wanted to breathe” in this case. ;)

Sea Foam (Multi-Chapter | Romance/Drama) by moodiful819 - If I remember correctly, this was a fic I stumbled across thanks to Tumblr. :D I can’t remember if it was due to all the mermaid AU art going around at the time, but I’m glad I checked this out. hehe Sakura and Kakashi are so adorable in this fic… aaaand now I feel like rereading this.  

Storybook (One-Shot | Romance/Humor) by moodiful819 - Basically a Cinderella AU except Kakashi takes on the role of both the prince and Cinderella and Sakura is the exasperated fairy godmother. xD

Ten Years

I wanted to do something special for House Calls’ tenth birthday

But between Covid, family deaths, and the general shitshow of stress my life’s been...yeah, various ideas and plans just never came together

So, the best I’m going to manage is this post

I got a good giggle tonight

A months old review I didn’t see (I don’t remember it anyway) for Down the Road is the most spectacular critical masterpiece I’ve ever received

This is a literal essay about basically how inept I am as a writer and about how all of my opinions are wrong, but my favorite part:

“ Really, you've presented nothing novel or of value in these chapters, and I highly doubt you ever will; as between mediocre prose and passable grammar, there isn't really much of a story beyond the unearned, misplaced, and ill-conceived notions of self-aggrandizing penmanship, which you scarcely possess.”

I love it. We have found someone who hates my stuff more than me!
