match is extremely judgemental to the point where spongy has to repress his autism (/j) around her cause she'll make fun of him for it... he'll get excited about like spaceships or origami or some other gay shit he loves and match would be like omg space. what r u like 12 years old 😂😂😂😂 and he's like hahaha yeah but he's genuinely really sad about itHHERLP

they both get jealous very easily but neither of them know how to handle that cause spongy just cries about it instead of saying anything and match gets angry at spongy and accuses him of cheating or just doesn't talk to him and shuns him until he figures out she's mad at him (spongy might be tempted to ignore her when he's upset too but she immediately goes TALK TO ME YOU FUCKING BITCH and he's like YES MAAM 😨)

also if you tried to tell spongy to break up with her cause she's abusive he would get so defensive and be all like NO SHE'S NOT SHE LOVES ME YOU'RE JUST JEALOUS 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 ok thanks for coming to my ted talk HEBHE

AAHHGGGGG Heyyyyy oomfington :3 UAAHH THANK YOU I LOVE SPONGEMATCH I LOVE IT this question. ive considered this tons of tijmes but i always get sad thinking ab their relationship ending (look at this fucking dumbass getting upset over hte prospect of two fictional characters breaking up lolll SOTOP) HOWEVER. i do think they have a very on and off relationship where its always match being like IM DONE WITH YOU YOU TREAT ME LIKE SO BAD (ironic) and then like maybe a day later she acts like nothing happened God they're like children sorry

if they do ever break up for good im not sure WHO would be the one making the choice cause for one as much as match acts like she hates spongy i think shes like extremely attached to him and dreads the thought of him realizing he deserves better than her more than anything and spongy's just her bitch so.... theyre together forever source : me /j

you think match would get weirdly defensive of spongy over time,after secret dating for a while? like her and pencil,maybe even needle are talking shit on spongy calling him fat or ugly and match IS laughing but it's like. she gets a bit defensive when they call him dumb or something like,gross. and she's like 'oh hes not that bad!'

alternatively,getting TOO into "insulting" him like. pencil being like 'ew imagine having to kiss spongy,yuck!' and match is like "yeah who would want to kiss a guy like spongy, i absolutely wouldn't want to kiss someone that's fat and would probably try and make it a deeper kiss and he is probably so soft to the touch and and-" and pencil is like "...girl what?"

OHHH YEA. when i f irst started shipping it i thought that maybe match just started dating him cause she lost a bet and had to go out with him as a punishment or whateva... she was expecting it to last maybe 1 day but he was IMMEDIATELY so attached to her he latches on and never lets go so she's inevitably stuck with him ❤️ she could probably tell him to khs and just walk out the door cause he wouldn't argue with her if she wanted to break up but over a few months (way longer than she planned to be with him) she somewhat warms up to him and she's like Oh fuck im actually in love with this loser. fuck it's so over for me.

i hc they're both severely starved of affection (specially spongy) and match isn't used to being actually loved for who she is so when spongy comws along and genuinely loves her and adores her she's like uhm what the fuck is this shit. match would still be mean to him all the time and he'd just sit there and take it cause he loves her so much and even though she REFUSES to be seen with him he likes it when they are in private and she is kinda somewhat nice to him🙏
