Thor, Loki, defenestration >:)
Thor didn't mean to throw Loki out of a window.
His grip just sort of... slipped.
He stares for a few long seconds, hands clenching where Loki should have landed from where Thor had tossed him up.
Then he's leaping out after his brother, because this was an accident, and Loki's so small and Thor really really didn't mean to and Mother is going to kill him.
Thor does catch Loki, and he twists so he lands on his back and there's something of a crater in his mother's rose bushes he's going to have to explain somehow later, but the important thing is Loki didn't hit the ground instead.
Loki is screaming though, clutching at Thor and bawling and Thor isn't sure anyone else feels as bad as he does right now. He wants the ground to swallow him up.
"Hey, I caught you! Look, it's okay, it's okay. See?" Thor grins, even though his back is sort of starting to hurt.
Loki opens his eyes enough to look at him, tears and snot streaming down his face. It's really not fair, Thor thinks, that his little brother always looks cute even when he's disgusting.
Loki gasps in some more air, hands tangling in Thor's shirt.
"You let me fall," he says accusingly.
"No, no, it was an accident! And I caught you." Thor grins broadly in the face of Loki's skepticism. And he did catch him, and Loki seems like he's okay other than the jolt of terror really. "I'll always catch you, Loki."
Loki considers this, sniffling and scrubbing his face with one hand. Thor never wants him to grow up sometimes.
"Promise," Thor says solemnly.
