so in soma did you understand who the figure following simon near the end trying to convince him to stop the WAU was? i think it was ross, the scientist who was talking about a strategy to stop it, but if it was him reanimated by the wau why was he so different and self-aware in comparison to the other wau creatures?? and if it was a wau creature why was it trying to /stop/ the wau

Your guess is as good as mine, friend.

The whole situation surrounding Ross remains one of the few loose ends not really tied up (unless the LPers I watched missed some things?). I’ve seen people theorize that he had created his own version of the structure gel to use on himself, hence why he became a monster but is able to think independently. But again, haven’t seen proof of this in-game.

So yes, that’s most definitely Ross, and he vowed to destroy the WAU as he saw what it was doing as wrong. However, I still don’t know why he’s a creature but still thinks for himself, why the WAU was freaking out in order to ‘save’ him (I’ve theorized that since it blew everyone’s heads off at Omicron that it was trying to get to Ross to kill him too in order to preserve itself, but who knows), and all that.

So it’s either buying the plain game or the Game of the Year edition on Steam, both are heavy discounted. But I suppose GOTY would be the better option as it seems to come with a lot of DLC stuffs
