just being curious but how d'you think the whole samzekiel deal is gonna play out? is he as good as he says or do you suspect he's up to no good?
Honestly, I think Ezekiel is well-intentioned. Whether or not his motivation changes over the course of being inside Sam is up in the air, but I’m fairly convinced he’s good. I don’t think he has any plans to screw Sam over, but anything could happen.
I think setting him up as a maybe-good-guy-maybe-bad-guy and expecting us to be surprised if he turns out evil seems a little too lazy. They spent so long setting up that he could be trusted (Fighting for Dean, Cas’ belief in him, his desire to save Sam, him agreeing to stay a secret to Sam, saving Sam against Abbadon’s demons, etc), that to turn that on its head means all the conversations about him being a good guy, no really, he’s good, are irrelevant and time-wasting. From a writing standpoint, I understand the desire to want a twist, but this one can be seen from a thousand miles away.
That being said, just because I think it’s a little weak doesn’t mean they won’t do it, and do it well. They have a tendency to take storylines that I don’t like the idea of and make them into something I enjoy.
