“Leo, stop, you’re being creepy!” Becca whined, putting a hand up to stop her friend from walking any closer to them. How gross, that he was letting the love potion affect him like this. Kelsey and Becca had just admitted their true feelings, the ones that were obviously already there, or else why would they have found perfect matches? But Leo’s feelings. Fake, totally fake, and she punched him gently in the chest, the same light motion she usually did with more love than right now. “Leave Kelsey alone, she’s going to the dance with Vlad, and there’s nothing you can do about it! She stood up abruptly, announcing, “I have chores to do, I forgot,” before stomping out of Topanga’s, leaving her confused friends in her wake. She went straight home and flipped open her computer, though, a weird fluttering feeling in her stomach when she saw Jexica had a message from Zay, one that read, Hey Jexica, I just had a feeling you might be having a bad day and I wanted to remind you you’re the coolest chick I know.

Caleb’s eyes snapped up from the photographs he’d been poring over, looking to see if there was some kind of clue that they’d missed when they’d been at the sight of the crime. Bailey J had his full attention now, though. She’d never asked anything like this before, had always just yelled at him for leaving and for being a shitty person and for not being as great as Milo was... But this was the first indication that she hated him for something more than just following his dreams, and Caleb swallowed, hating himself for the answer he was about to give. “Um... no. No, I guess I could never really picture it,” he admitted, ducking his head again and pretending to look at the pictures even though he could hardly see them at all. The truth was that there had always been someone else in his heart, someone else in the way even when he didn’t know she was there, and he swallowed hard, not knowing what to do next but mutter, “I’m really sorry.”
