Ghost Hunger AU inspired ! (My first time drawing this AU)
(This one isn't really good I know, I got lazy, but I kinda like the vibe anyway ?)
Okay okay I know you said you wouldn't explain the doots but I can't help but notice that in most of the doodles Danny's in his human form but his eyes are glowing with the mist and his fingers/toes are black and what if that means he's being controlled? But maybe not by a ghost, but by something else, something even more sinister? And Halfa!Dash catches on but whoever is possessing Danny isn't a ghost so Dash can't just push them out of Danny like a regular ghost, and they're controlling his actual body so it's not like Dash can fight whoever is in there without hurting Danny too, so he has to figure out how to save Danny without hurting him and defeat the entity and save Danny but it's so hard when the entity keeps flirting with him while wearing Danny's face and aaaaaah okay yeah this gave me many brainworms such wonderful wonderful brainworms thank you for my suffering

The original plan I had for the doots was more of a “ What if” idea I had. It kinda was hard to explain my whole thought process on what was going on, so I decided not to explain them.
Okay but a “summoning a powerful ghost but instead getting a human boy” trope but it’s Danny’s parents from a ever so slightly different dimension/timeline.
Like, the Drs Fenton were so excited about finally being able to summon and trap A Real Life Ghost! while Danny and Jazz are frantically trying to sabotage this whole mess because, A) Ghosts aren’t real and, B) On the tiny chance they ARE real, they sure as shit don’t want one TRAPPED IN THEIR LIVING ROOM.
But sadly the kids fail and, to various reactions of horror and delight, the summoning works. But as the bright light fades away Danny is confused to find himself staring into a mirror, his own surprised eyes staring back.
Then his reflection blinks.
It clears it’s throat uncomfortably.
“Well this is awkward.”

(or: Danny is not quite a ghost in much the same way as he is not quite a human; it follows that the pretenses of one would be just as hard to keep up as those of the other.)
