Acquiescence ~A Kim Taehyung Demon!au~ Part 1
Acquiescence: (ac·qui·es·cence) the reluctant acceptance of something without protest.
Not requested, but very much needed in my life 🤷🏻♀️
Also, whoever makes these custom headers for all of their posts, major props to you. Each of these honestly took me 30 minutes to an hour to create and they really don’t even look that great lol
Dating life? You had no idea what that was even supposed to be like. All your life, you were taught to be the good girl. The one who was top of her class, got 100s on all her tests, studied day and night and never, NEVER got in trouble. You were the classic ‘teachers pet’ and that is exactly what they called you. But, there was nothing you could do about it; not that you cared enough to do anything even if you could.
Really, you couldn’t care less about what other people thought of you. You were the one that was going to be successful in the future and you’re the one who was going to breeze through called; which you did. College was one of the easiest times of your life, school wise, that is.
You were always surrounded by couples and people exploring their new-found freedom. Don’t get it wrong, you were exploring your freedom, too, just in a different way. You would stay at the library until after it closed and you would ready books that your parents would never dream of you reading. Romeo and Juliet, Sabbath’s Theater, Hamlet; all of them were things that your parents would have freaked out if they caught you reading. Love and lust was an absolute no-go and it thrilled you to be reading about such things.
You could never imagine them happening in real life, though; you were practically dating your homework. There was no time for anything other than your classes and homework. So, how come your sitting at your usual homework spot thinking about everything other than that. Why do the glances you’re getting from the guys walking past you make your heart race. You weren’t actually thinking about them romantically, were you?
“Hey, Y/N, can you help me with this assignment? I’m kinda having trouble figuring out how to do it.” You heard someone ask you, snapping you out of your thoughts. When you looked up to see who it was, your heart skipped another beat. Kim Taehyung.
“Uh, yeah. When?” You stuttered, getting lost in his gaze.
“Well, I’m busy right now, but maybe we could meet at your place in a couple hours? Would that be okay?” He asked with his beautiful boxy smile, rendering you speechless. All you could do in reply is slowly nod your head. “Great, I’ll see you later!” Taehyung said before running off in the other direction.
Y/N snap out of it. What is your problem? You’ve had conversations with him a thousand times before and you’ve never thought like that. Maybe you just needed some coffee or something. And with that, you got up and headed towards the coffee shop.
Getting your usual, you headed home to clean up a little and relax before Taehyung got there. Even though you didn’t know why you wanted to impress him, you didn’t want him to think that you were a dirty person. And besides, what if something else happened? What if the two of you did a little more than just the homework?
Where were these thought coming from? Nothing was going to happen with Taehyung other than you helping him with his homework. You didn’t even want anything else to happen. You aren’t that kind of person. Or are you?
No, you aren’t. You’re a good girl. You’re a virgin, what would you even know about that stuff? Nothing, thats what. These thoughts were nothing. They didn’t matter and you didn’t know where they came from, but you know they weren’t you.
Suddenly, you heard the doorbell ring. Looking at the time, you realized that a couple hours had passed already and it was time for Taehyung to be here. Oh boy, here goes nothing. Quickly, you opened the door to let him in and lead him into the living room so that you could be comfortable while working on the homework. You both sat on the floor, next to each other, so that you could see what he was having problems with and show him what he needed to do.
“So, what do you need help with?” You asked, looking over into his big brown eyes. Your heart fluttered, but you tried your best to ignore it.
“....all of it...” He said with a shy smile. Cute. “I’m actually kind of really bad at this class and I know that you’re just good at everything, so that’s why I asked for help.” Taehyung admitted, making you feel a sense of accomplishment.
“I mean, I wouldn’t say that I’m good at everything; there are a couple things that I’m not good at.” You said with a laugh.
“Yeah, and what are those?” He asked, cheekily. Relationships, sex, literally any social interaction, flirting, anything thats not school.
“I don't know... its not important right now, anyway.” You said, avoiding the question. You could never say that stuff to him. He’d think you were a freak if you did.
Getting back to his homework, you began to help him through it piece by piece. Every once in a while, you would take a break for snack or water or to go to the bathroom, but overall, it was a very efficient study session. You had kept weird thoughts out of your head for the most part and you were solely focused on helping him. I mean, you’d really like to help with more than just his homework, maybe with what he’s hiding in his j-

Homework. That’s what you’re helping him with and that’s the only thing.
But really, he looked so good while he was focused on his homework. His tongue was sticking out of his mouth slightly while he concentrated and made you wonder what else he could do with that tongue. When his lips would form into a pout every time he got something wrong, you could just imagine what they would feel like against yours. You couldn’t stop thinking of all the things you wanted to do to him. With him.
“Hey, could you please stop talking, I’m trying to think.” He said, out of nowhere.
“Um, what? I-i didn’t say anything.” You replied. Oh shit. What if you were saying all of that out loud? You would be mortified if he found out what you were just thinking.
“Huh? Oh, um, nevermind... sorry, I guess I was just hearing things.” He said, almost panicked. What was going on?
