“A Merry Hallowe’en”
Page 71, Card 4 from the Bettie La Barbe Postcard Collection. A commemorative Halloween postcard with illustration of black cat, jack-o-lanterns, and broom. The card reads “A Merry Hallowe’en -- ‘For Ways that are dark and tricks that are vain,’ Watch out!” The back of the card is addressed to Miss Bettie La Barbe at 155 Chestnut Street, Asheville, N.C. with a note that reads, “Just a reminder of Halowe’en 1908 -- E. J.” Postcard was printed in Germany but has no post mark.
